In criminal court news, Accomack Commonwealth’s Attorney Gary Agar reports that sentencing was deferred until presentence reports are prepared for Wayne Rider, 31, of Onancock, and Eric Taylor, 19, of Mears, each found guilty in Accomack County Circuit Court of grand larceny; Celina Snead, 45, of Painter, found guilty of embezzlement; William Aigner II, 17, of Wachapreague, found guilty of 11 counts of credit-card larceny, fraud and passing bad checks; and Craig Turner, 31, of Melfa, found guilty of six counts of forgery, as well as credit-card larceny.
Judgement was withheld until a presentence report is completed for David Loder, 48, of Accomac, who is charged with giving a false statement on a firearm purchase and possession of a firearm by a felon.
In Northampton Circuit Court, Etta Marie Brady, 20, of Machipongo pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of breaking and entering, as well as grand larceny and petty larceny. According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Bruce Jones, sentencing was deferred until a presentence report is prepared.
A presentence report also was ordered for Justin Scott Brady, 20, of Machipongo, who pleaded guilty to three counts of breaking and entering, two counts of grand larceny, and one count of petty larceny.
Carlos Rogelio Gabriel, 25, of Accomac was sentenced for a previous conviction on two counts of forging a public document, to five years on each count, with all but one year suspended, to run consecutively. Gabriel also was sentenced to 12 months and fined $500 for driving under the influence, and was sentenced to six months for driving without a license, with all but one month suspended, and fined $250, with the sentences to run consecutively with the forgery charges, for a total of two years and one month to serve.
