Remember Silly Putty?

SILLY PUTTY-- introduced to the public today back in 1950!
It was discovered in 1943 by accident in a laboratory while scientists were researching rubber substitutes during World War II.

Everyone remembers the ball of pink goop packed in an egg that bounced and stretched like taffy!! It's not only a toy. You can use silly putty to pick up lint, pet fur, and dirt. (Gee, they don't make lint brushes any more?)

But did you know? Physical therapists actually have found silly putty, when used in large quantities, to be useful in rehabilitative therapy to the hands.

We used to like to stick it on the Sunday Funny papers to make the funnies transfer on to the silly putty.
