Hey did you hear that Hoines Caine beat his case in court on a screw up from the Worcester County Sheriffs Office. Can anyone tell me more about what happened in court?
He "beat" his case on a technicality. It happens sometimes. Let's just hope he understands how lucky he was and doesn't make the error of dealing drugs - the real thing or fake-again. I guarantee there won't be any mix up next time.
Maybe you can pull up this link to the story in the Daily Times.

44 people busted in a drug sting. Almost all have been prosecuted, charged with drug crimes ...collective jail sentences ...over 225 years. That's making a difference, a BIG difference, I'd say.
Stop fooling people jmmb several other people arrested did not go to jail. alot of people got off as well. The big trophy in the case was the late Hoines Caine Sr. son who got off on a mistake made by Worcester County Sheriffs. This is what happens when you rush cases, it only make cops look bad.
Hold on a minute anon 10:27! Before you or anyone else accuses me of "fooling people" let me assure you and all of you that I have no reason to do such a thing.
The reason Cane did not have a trial is very well explained in the article published in the Daily Times. If you haven't taken the time to read it I suggest you do so.
Warrants for arrest were put out on some of those people and they couldn't be found.
This doesn't happen because cases are rushed...just makes it more probable that it could. And I don't see how you draw the conclusion that it makes the cops look bad. They ALL did a great job and I'm sure they all are aware of what can happen when cases go to court.
jmmb listen, several of the people who were arrested cases were dropped because there was no evidence. I know this for a fact. STOP helping Worcester County Sheriffs fool honest hard working citizens. You don't know the inside scoop.
Anon 11:13 I appreciate your concern for the criminals that you seem to declare to have been arrested without evidence. For myself, once a criminal always makes the possibility of being blamed for something down the road. You do not have my sympathy there.
Furthermore, I have no idea where you get the impression that I am helping the Worcester County Sheriff "fool" the people.
In fact, kind sir or maam, perhaps it is you trying to fool the people with your comments. If there is inside scoop I can only fairly tell you to email 'the scoop' to me WITH your name and a reliable email address and then maybe I can help. If not what you say is only hearsay or gossip and as unreliable as the ANON you sign.
And please don't make me look like that bad guy here.
Seriously, I can't help you or the people of Worcester County without name.
Had Honis been found guilty what would have happened to him anyway? What he was selling was fake and that's what he was charged with-selling fake drugs.
I would think with 40 plus arrests that happened that day a few are destined to be dropped for different reasons.
John the screw up was because of a prosecutor who I believe has since been fired. I doubt if this is her first mistake because during the election season I had heard several stories about her lackadaisical attitude coming from some victims of crimes that she prosecuted and was surprised Oglesby kept her on as long as he did.
