POCOMOKE, Md. - The Pocomoke City Police Department is spreading the word on a new fake $20 bill trend in the area. According to police, the forgeries have been passed at various local businesses in the past few days.

Willow Street and Maple Street will be closed on 5/19/2023 at approximately 2:00 p.m. for the concert detail. Clark Avenue to Laurel Street will be closed on 5/20/2023 at approximately 8:00 a.m. for concert detail. Clark Avenue will reopen following the conclusion of the concert at approximately 10:00 p.m. on 5/20/2023. News from Tuesday's Worcester Board of Ed Meeting
In celebration of Men’s Health Month, the Worcester County Health Department in collaboration with the City of Pocomoke will be hosting their first Just Walk for Men’s Health event on June 10th.
The event will take place at Cypress Park in Pocomoke City. It will include a walk, no-cost health screenings, health education, and more. This family and pet-friendly event is open to all county residents.
Registration and check-in will start at 8:30 a.m. followed by opening remarks at 9:00 a.m. by special guests Pocomoke City Mayor Todd Nock and Al “Hondo” Handy. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a pre-walk warm-up with Gary Press, owner of G Fit Boot Camp, followed by a walk through the park. After the walk, participants are encouraged to visit health vendors and participate in free health screenings, including blood pressure and a diabetes risk assessment.
