On January 27, 2014 at approximately 0930 hours a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a vehicle for 70 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on Rt. 50 in the area of Rt. 90.
The Deputy identified the driver as Kristen A Cummings 25, of Concord, North Carolina.
The Deputy determined that Mrs. Cummings’ license was suspended. A search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search suspected cocaine was located in Mrs. Cummings purse.
Mrs. Cummings was placed under arrest and taken to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office.
Mrs. Cummings was charged with possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.
Mrs. Cummings was taken in front of the District Court Commissioner where she was released on her own recognizance.
