1922 .. Amazing days followed the historic 1922 Pocomoke City fire. On the heals of devastation not a moment was lost in beginning to climb back. Pocomoke wouldn't be sitting and waiting for the outside world to come to its rescue. It's own beehive of activity sprung into action. Almost immediately merchants who lost their businesses to the fire arranged for temporary locations from which to operate and plans for a new and improved Pocomoke City were already a topic of discussion.
