This week in the end.

Well it has been a very interesting week.

The PPE has grown to numbers that are unbelievable for a small town local blog thanks to folks dedicated in searching and finding 'truth'

We have welcomed on board an international professional that is working behind the scenes to find the "truth"

Amazingly, the PPE's (readers) have brought questions and answers to some very controversial topics, you guys and gals have asked questions and demanded answers, y'all have searched the internet and sought out people that is in the know and brought good honest responses to things that were so far fetched it was like a twilight zone flick, but you found the truth.

That my friends is what it's all about, not only on the topic of the week, but anything in the MSM (drive by media)

Some have stepped on you but you kept on keeping-on.

We all know that somewhere in the middle of both sides of the issues lies the truth, and how many "truths" did you find this week? Several.

Even though we have been labeled the dark horse we just pressed-on that much harder.

There's no way I could do this on my own, and thanks to you (PPE's) when a main page post appeared it was a collaboration of everything you contributed then confirmed with permission.

All I can say is thank-you to all that used their personal time to seek and expose those that for whatever reason seam to want to invent a conspiracy.

Next week should be just as interesting as we wait on chapter 2

Thank you,

There's an Out of Town Odor (Part 1)

Odor on Nictitate
By Odor Eliminator

Prelude:
Most of us “locals” are aware of Christine Sheddy’s disappearance and many of us have offered assistance in finding her in some shape or form. An entire community has reached out to her family and embraced them in their efforts to find Christine. Even the lowliest, kind thought or prayer has been worthy.

Chapter One:
The Characters

Ohhhh and Ahhhh, we’ve really got a juicy story for you.

Just in case you haven’t been following, I’m referring to the newest drama running riot over the Christine Sheddy case. The disappearance of Christine is being spun into a tale of “oh-my- gosh conspiracy” in every nook and cranny of Pocomoke City, Worcester County, and possibly the State of Maryland.

Along comes a spider named Nictitate. She’s spinning a tale from whatever scrap of information, whether it be true or false, with an agenda that has nothing to do with finding Christine. Dissatisfied opinions of local government or politicians and self satisfying needs to blame or bash someone or anyone, further a conspiracy theory.

Nictitate is writing a story about Christine’s case posing as an investigator, telling some she is a detective, and who in reality is a self proclaimed investigative journalist. Adding to the suspense of the story, Nictitate releases one chapter at a time. Why one chapter at a time? In doing so it allows for all of her groupies to comment and speculate and for local blogs to post the chapter. Links are everywhere and always redirect to Nictitates website where she racks up hits.

After each chapter is released bloggers run amok posting questions, comments, and going so far as having cyber arguments. Dissenters of the agenda are quickly “slapped down” by either Nictitate or one of the groupies.

Chapter 1 of the tale starts off with background information and a peek into the private life of Christine. While there could be many reasons for this introduction “exploitation” comes to mind. For the life of me, I can’t imagine why I would discuss or give information to a complete stranger about one of mine without knowing exactly who that stranger is, what they are, and what they want it for.

Now I know that I’m going to catch the devil for that last comment but it’s something that needs to be said. The real “case” is about the disappearance of Christine Sheddy, finding her, and apprehending those responsible for her disappearance. PERIOD!

Christine’ relationship, good or bad, with Levi Hall should remain personal. Unless of course, Nictitate is saying that Levi Hall is a suspect in the disappearance of Christine Sheddy and that their personal life is pertinent to the case.

We can go back and read the chapters of the tale being spun by Nictitate however reading the posts from bloggers is much more interesting. Although it gets quite confusing trying to follow along if you have the time and patience you will find yourself getting the picture.

Nictitate claims to have “eyewitness” accounts and insider information and the tale is supposedly spun from these accounts. We know better. The real people, who Nictitate has written off to being inbred hillbillies, or some such thing, are the “eyewitnesses” and have not given any information for Nictitate to spin her tale from.

Odor Eliminator has decided to search for the truth of the matter and contribute the findings to the Pocomoke Public Eye. It’s expected to get hairy once the groupies jump in so hold on to your seat. Nictitates tale will be analyzed as well as many untruths posted on blogs along the way. The conspiracy will be “outed” and as Paul Harvey used to say, “now you know the rest of the story”. I know that some of you are impatient but sifting through the tale takes time.

Coming next – Odor on Nictitate, Chapter Two: a Who’s Who in the Nictitate Tale

Note: For those of you who want to highjack writings from OE – DON”T. Any writings contributed by Odor Eliminator belong to The Pocomoke Public Eye exclusively and all rights are reserved. Man guilty of assaulting girl, 9, in Pocomoke

An Ohio man was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old relative while staying with friends in Pocomoke City.

After about an hour of deliberation, the jury issued a guilty verdict to Rodney P. Morton, 34, on the charges of third-degree sexual assault and second-degree assault stemming from the May 22 incident.

Morton will be sentenced later this year after a pre-sentencing investigation is completed. He is currently released on $50,000 bond.

According to testimony in Worcester County Circuit Court, on the night of the incident, Morton carried his sleeping daughter from his room and put her to bed in the next room over.

But before leaving the room, he "put his hands down her shorts," said Assistant State's Attorney Diane Cuilhe, causing injury to her genitals.

Morton's daughter, who was awake at the time but with her eyes closed, testified that she watched her father leave the room. About five seconds later, she started crying, soon drawing the attention of other people in the Walnut Street house.

"I don't know why he did it," the 9-year-old said in court, describing her father as having sharp fingernails. "I don't know if he meant to do it, but he did it ... It really hurt. I didn't know what to do."

Morton, who has had full custody of his child for the last several years, claimed it never happened. After carrying his daughter to bed, he said he adjusted her shorts, which had shifted up her body, tucked her in and left the room.

"As far as I'm aware, I didn't come anywhere close to that area," Morton said.

The 9-year-old told her mother, who lives in Tennessee, the following morning. She drove up to collect her daughter and took her to Atlantic General Hospital, where a nurse found the injury. The girl now lives with her mother.

Charges were filed against Morton on May 24.

"I was quite shocked," Morton said. "It does bother me that my daughter would accuse me of doing this."

A comment worthy of a post.

From an anonymous poster;

I think it is about time that the citizens of Pocomoke and surrounding area take a stand to protect your wonderful fire fighters and law enforcement! I have never heard any complaints in my life about either unless it happened in their personal lives and that is seldom, very seldom, to none!

And while you are at it, take another look at Pocomoke itself. Don't you think it's about time you took a stand for the Mayor? That may be hard to understand but he is under attack in this situation too. The agenda that started out to find thugs that possibly murdered a girl has turned into a witch hunt for everyone in Pocomoke.

The mother of the missing girl and Billy Burke have not gotten the answers they want when they want them, it seems. In order to prove some point this so called investigator has been called in to investigate. She and her goons are not investigators!!!

My thoughts? I think law enforcement has finished their investigation and under the circumstances are not talking. Can't say I blame them.

Wake up Pocomoke. Do something. Don't let this smear the town. Don't let the rest of America think that your town is being driven by hoodlums in a fire department, cops that rule where ever they please and a city hall that spirts venom to its citizens.

If so much is wrong it would have been repaired long ago
not just because one person said so.

Let your fire dept. know, let city hall know, and let law enforcement know that you stand behind them and refuse to believe what blink says. The names of people you all know and love are posted on their website. Go there and read it for yourself.

Christine Sheddy; The Fires of Byrd Rd. who set these fires and why? Were these fires Investigated for arson?

Pocomoke City, MD– Christine Sheddy was murdered on the Byrd Rd Farm in Pocomoke City on the evening of November 12, 2007.

The series of events that led up to her murder are stupifying.

Of Particular concern is the rash of fires occuring on the farm and within surrounding areas in the time frame of both of Christine’s visits there.

Pic1

As the September alarms are no longer accessible on the Pocomoke Volunteer Fire Department Site, you are looking at a cached version confirming the call to the farm and the fact that photos DID exist of what was assuredly a major fire. Three different stations responded at a minimum. The Images have been deleted.

The day before the Byrd road chicken house fire on September 20th, the Showell Fire Department extinguished this chicken house fire:

919chickenhouse

Also a cached version of deleted information from the PVFD site, is this October Alarm Source, through October 23rd, 2007:

Pic2

Effective October 1, 2007 the Worcester County Fire Marshalls Office takes over.

“..The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for conducting fire investigations of all fires in the County where arson is suspected, the fire is undetermined by the fire department, and/or an injury or death has occurred. The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is the local enforcing agency for 3 municipalities and the County…”

Note the October 10th alarm for yet again, a subsequent fire in the chickenhouse on Byrd Road.

On October 11, the neighbors who have already been vicitmized by the Clarence Butch “ Jr” Jackson crew, are victimized again. As you can see the Fire Marshall visits Byrd Road.

What the record does not say, is that the neighbors are awakened at 3 am by the Fire Marshall and Deputy Parnell from the PCPD. They were told if they called the Fire Department one more time for fires on the neighboring property, they would be arrested.

On the exact same day that JR Jackson unsuccessfully seeks peace orders against the neighbors that are simply trying to avoid the menace of his existance at this point are denied on October 13th; there is another chicken house fire. Fire Police and Pocomoke PD are in attendance.

Another outside fire call on October 17th. There is no data past October 23rd on fire activity available for this time frame.

The November calls have been deleted entirely by the Pocomake VFD. The site is managed and maintained by “Choppy Layton” a long time Vounteer Fire Fighter and by all accounts, a solid guy.

What is astounding, is that I am in receipt of an email that confirms a witness gave a statement to Detective Trautman, the original detective in this case, on February 12, 2008.

Should we consider it a coincidence then, that the last time the PVFD site is updated, and apparently when the November alarms were deleted is February 12, 2008?

Pic3

We have eyewitness accounts of fires on the Byrd Road farmhouse from November 9th through the 13th at a minimum. Fire Police and Marshalls have been to the property. By my accounting, we are talking in the neighborhood of 12 fire alarms to this property alone, starting one month after an emergency outdoor burn ban.

Why hasn’t Clarence Jackson been charged with arson?

Any other suspects? Dead Issue? We know there are surveillance still pictures and security guard witnesses, what did they see?

What is the ratio of alarm calls versus arson arrests?

I digress.

Who was copied on the confirmation email containing a witness statement on February 12, 2008?

Michael McDermott.

Pocomoke; Man Charged with multiple thefts from Wal*Mart

A Salisbury man has been charged with stealing more than $1,100 in merchandise over the course of four visits to the Pocomoke City Walmart Supercenter.

From Aug. 8 to Aug. 24, Gary Belote allegedly walked away with cell phone SIM cards, walkie-talkies, voice recorders and sunglasses.

He faces one count of theft of more than $500 in value, three counts of theft less than $500 in value, two counts of theft scheme and trespassing. If found guilty of the single charge of theft of items more than $500 in value, he could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $25,000.

According to police records filed in Worcester County District Court, on Aug. 24 a security official from Walmart contacted the Pocomoke City Police Department about a possible theft. Belote was seen on a security camera allegedly tampering with the packaging for a prepaid cell phone.

Police stopped the suspect as he was leaving the store on a bicycle. A SIM card was found in his pocket.

The phone and its packaging were found in the store near the fishing equipment. "The packet was cut open and the SIM card was the only thing missing," according to court documents.

A review of security footage revealed that Belote -- who was supposed to be restrained by a no-trespassing order for the Pocomoke City Walmart stemming from a September 2008 incident -- had allegedly stolen from the store on at least three other occasions.

According to police documents, on Aug. 8 he walked away with $800 in sunglasses. Tapes from Aug. 21 allegedly show Belote stealing two prepaid cell phones worth $92.88 and a pair of walkie-talkies valued at $49.94.

Two days later, Belote allegedly stole from the store again, this time a voice recorder and an iPod.

Belote was apprehended when he returned the following day. He is currently being held at the Worcester County Jail on $8,500 bond.

In September 2008, Belote was arrested for theft of less than $500, malicious destruction of property and failing to obey an officer of the law stemming from an incident at the same Walmart. He pleaded guilty to the theft charge and was sentenced to six months in jail.

Belote was also convicted of illegal drug possession in Ocean City in May 2008 and was found guilty of failing to pay required child support in November 2008. Several earlier run-ins with police took place between 1993 and 2004, according to court records; in a 2004 case, Belote pleaded guilty to the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.

A hearing for the Walmart case will be held Sept. 25 in Worcester County District Court.

UPDATE

It has been brought to my attention that the

area downtown I wrote about this morning has been mowed! The washer still sits there though and has been there since at least Saturday a.m.

And the flag has been placed back on its pole to fly again. This I knew would occur as soon as the town crew got the chance.

However...........................

This missing board needs to be replaced as does the whole entire wooden walkway! This is an accident just waiting to happen and could possibly end in a law suit. A previous owner of this property would have been hounded to death until it was repaired! And now?

Also.....................

This sidewalk crack has been there for a very long time. It is also a huge hazzard for downtown pedestrians. Not very good thinking at all if you want people to stroll about downtown.

Christine Sheddy, where was the law enforcement?

What is going on in our justice system?

Let’s discuss the missing Christine Sheddy case missing since Nov. 13 2007 almost 2 years now. At the beginning the LE’s thought that Christine may have just wondered off of the Farm @ 2911 Byrd Rd. or that she simply [ran away from it all] leaving her 2 young children behind with a group of deranged drunks and druggies.

I understand that the policy of LE that a person must be missing for 24 hours before they are declared “a missing person” but to think a mother of 3 that had 2 of her youngest with her (I think they were 2 and 4 at the time) would just “run away” and that the LE didn’t really start an official “missing persons” search until what I understand was 2 weeks after she went missing is just disheartening.

There was hardly any press, the residents of the farm packed-up and high-tailed, - their neighbors lived in such fear they had to hire 24/7 personal security and install surveillance equipment after being burglarized, and vandalized by their dearest neighbors with a wrap sheet as long as their lane at that now infamous ‘farm house’.

Why wasn’t the LE allover these people? Why did our local LE not take this serious until 2 weeks later? Why did our local LE not ask for the help of the FBI? Why did our local LE refuse the aid of our now VP Joe Biden? The list of these why did our local LE not, is endless.

I know for a fact that some of the best officers of the Wor. County Sheriffs office were put on this case but were tied to only what their superiors would allow them to do or how in-depth and how much time they allotted to do it.

Christine’s mom has not given-up though; the people of Pocomoke have not given-up, people from other states have gotten involved thanks to the PocomokeTattler and other blogs.

Fast forward; Someone found an organization that helps find missing persons www.BlinkOnCrime.com that took-on Christine’s case a week or so into August, now only a couple weeks into this case more has been done to find Christine and bring those to justice that had a hand in her disappearance.

The BlinkOnCrime team has no local knowledge; they don’t have the resources of the WCBI but have uncovered more in a couple weeks than our local authorities, why?

I have so many questions with no answers but most importantly, where does this leave us if find ourselves or a loved-one in this same situation?

I just don’t get it. Some of the things I have heard, seen posted, and read that the Mayor and some of the LEO’s have said about Christine is very disturbing to say the least, and extremely unprofessional, not to mention heartless.

Hopefully now that things are coming out and as the story breaks our LE is working with the BlinkOnCrime team.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking our LE, just a few members of them that can and does control what their officers do. This should not have been taken so lightly from the start, and that is what I think it’s all about. I really think that our LE knew they dropped the ball from the get-go so as to not look bad they just thought this would go away.

It’s not like our LE departments are swamped with missing persons or murder and frankly there’s absolutely no excuse for the lack of investigation in this case and someone or more than one should be held accountable in the end.

The Falling of the Pocomoke Bridge

August 17,1988

Do you remember the day the Pocomoke River Bridge fell? My telephone rang very early that morning to tell me the news. I will admit I didn't really believe it until I saw it for myself! For some reason, very early in the morning the little bridge just came tumbling down. And of course, for months there were the rumors and speculations of how it could fall, who was the last to travel it and how remarkable it was no one had been killed.

My news clippings from the Pocomoke paper are gone but I did find these pictures that were taken 2 days after it collapsed. There isn't much on the internet but I did find some interesting information.......

Md. Eastern Shore Bridge Collapses

Article from: The Washington Post Article date: August 18, 1988 Author: Paul Valentine

A two-lane bridge over the Pocomoke River collapsed early this morning, causing no known injuries, but drawing top Maryland highway officials to this town to dispel fears that the state's bridges are becoming dangerous.

Two 36-foot spans of the 285-foot-long bridge tumbled into the river about 1 a.m., officials said, just after a car had crossed it. Maryland troopers rushed to the scene at the edge of this Eastern Shore town and closed off traffic within minutes, officials said.

The cause of the mishap was still not known late today, ...

Well, that was not all I found. Two days before the collapse of span, a motorist traveling west to east noticed a dip in the bridge deck and that the pedestrian crosswalk railing ,in places,| Direct Links | Movies world | Software world | Download PC Games | Mediafire Links | Celebrity Pictures seemed to bowed downward. The same motorist on August 16,1988 crossed the bridge again and notice the dip in the bridge had become more severe. He naturally assumed that the bridge tenders were aware of it and didn't feel the need to report it to anyone. ( I would assume that too). And the manager of the market on the Somerset side of the bridge noticed the same thing
on those same two days.

August 16, 1988, around 11:00 a.m. another motorist noticed
a "V" shaped depression that traveled 10 to 12 inches deep and about 20 ft. long. This wasn't all he found to be faulty with the bridge and immediately drove to Pocomoke City Police Dept. and reported it to the dispatcher. The dispatcher did not notify the officers on duty nor was it logged in as a complaint on the police log.

Finally that afternoon another motorist noticed it and contacted the police chief. The police chief stated that all he saw was a pothole, and did not inspect any other sections of the bridge.

The report further stated that the police department is not trained in matters of bridge construction and defaults................And even though the tiny bridge would have collapsed anyway, IF someone had perhaps paid more attention to what these 3 people were saying that bridge could have been shut down and eliminated the possibility of personal injury or even death. No, personal injury did not occur. But it sure could have.

To read the entire report go to www.ntsb.gov/recs/letter Quite interesting. I worked downtown for over 25 years and never heard any of this. I don't know of anyone at the time that had heard about this report written in January of 1990. Be sure to read it. Another DUH moment.
