(From a senior level Chrysler person)

This is supposedly a memo from a Chrysler engineer taken from a recent meeting with government controlling bodies of the auto maker.
I cannot verify that this is fact, but, never the less it sounds like what our government might actually say/do in such a situation.
So lets change the laws of physics, after all, democrats don't believe in gravity.

Monday morning I attended a breakfast
meeting where the speaker/guest was David E. Cole, Chairman Center for
Automotive Research (CAR and Professor at the Univ. of Michigan . You have
all likely heard CAR quoted, or referred to in the auto industry news
lately.

Mr. Cole, who is an engineer by training, told many stories of the difficulty of working with the folks that the Obama administration has sent to save the auto industry. There have been many meetings where a 30+ year experience automotive expert has to listen to a
newcomer to the industry, someone with zero manufacturing experience, zero
auto industry experience, zero business experience, zero finance experience,
and zero engineering experience, tell them how to run their business.

Mr Cole's favorite story is as follows:

There was a team of Obama people speaking to
Mr. Cole (Engineer, automotive experience 40+ years, Chairman of CAR). They
were explaining to Mr. Cole that the auto companies needed to make a car
that was electric and liquid natural gas (LNG) with enough combined fuel to
go 500 miles so we wouldn't "need" so many gas stations (A whole other
topic). They were quoting BTU's of LNG and battery life that they had looked
up on some website.

Mr. Cole explained that to do this you would
need a trunk FULL of batteries and a LNG tank at big as a car to make that
happen and that there were problems related to the laws of physics that
prevented them from...

The Obama person interrupted and said (and I
am quoting here) "These laws of physics? Who's rules are those, we need to
change that. (Some of the others wrote down the law name so they could look
it up) We have the congress and the administration. We can repeal that law,
amend it, or use an executive order to get rid of that problem. That's why
we are here, to fix these sort of issues"

If you had done any research at all, you would have seen that this e-mail is indeed a FAKE.

If you get an e-mail from a rich Nigerian promising a boat load of money, that one is a fake too.

LOL, I kinda figured it was fake.

but it's still funny and as I said it does sound like something our government would say.

and you mean I wont be getting all that money from the Nigerian emails?

I'm disappointed.

as for snopes, they are often wrong. Don't put much faith in them.

"Don't put much faith in snopes"...

This from a guy who copies chain e-mails.

Humor me...when were they wrong?

The Public Eye said...

well I can't be specific but I have found them to be wrong on several no (many) occasions.

snopes and fact check are very biased, owned and controlled by some very influential liberal cooks with money. If it does not fit their left wing liberal agenda they will say it's 'false'

and again, the post was put up to be humorous, if you don't like it, don't read it.

It's not up for debate. This is a blog NOT MSNBC that can never find the truth, thank God.

This was a highly entertaining read, but it is highly suspect just from reading it. Two reasons that jumped out at me:

1) Such a combined fuel car should already be feasible. My outrageously inefficient SUV already goes over 500 miles on a tank of gas.

2) A 500 mile range car would not decrease the number of gas stations, but not for the reasons given. As I've mentioned, cars already have close to that already, but most gas stations are near urban areas. A significant change in efficiency (not so much range) would indeed reduce the number of fueling (whatever type of fuel) stations, not due to issues of geographic proximity, but simply due to less demand, and hence less supply needed. Fake stories tend to have these poorly conceived asides in them.

Does anyone actually read or research anything before posting? You might want to
actually do so. This Dr. Carl has never even met anyone from Obama’s admin. He was
referring to several years ago with a few members of Congress. Snopes debunked
this back in June when they actually spoke and met with Dr Carl.

In case anyone cares.

I have a friend who is the CIO of rock smashing at Slate and Rock Gravel Company and
he sent me this letter….. He tells me some guy stole cable from Mr. Slate and he was
trained by Obama’s secret Black Militia. Glenn Beck just drew a pie chart showing the
paper trail……revelation is coming at the hands of guys stealing cable and it is Obama’s
fault!!! (hear “sob, sob, sob” from Glenn Beck)……..
