Moment of Silence This Morning

Obama observing moment of silence for 9/11 victims

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will lead the country in pausing to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Nearly 3,000 people died on that tragic day eight years ago as hijacked jetliners smashed into New York's World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in western Pennsylvania.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama will observe a moment of silence Friday at 8:46 a.m. Eastern Time, the moment the first jetliner struck the World Trade Center.

Then the president will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Pentagon memorial, where 184 people were killed.

Obama and Defense Secretary Robert Gates are to meet with victims' relatives

We Will Always Remember !

Thank you for the critique, sir. Now, what you need to do is take your comments on how we at this site have observed the memory of 9/11 and stick them back into your pie hole.

Are you keeping score? Well, I appreciate that but you, sir do not seem to understand the rules of OUR game.

And until you get it then I will refrain from and comment towards yours. You sir, have the right to cricize any one you care to but please be sure you insert your brain before speaking to me.

I do not care to debate with you the entire elements of 911 because frankly, I don't think you have the ability to understand that concept.

You certainly don't seem to understand the concept of much. I didn't post alot about that day simply because MOST AMERICANS remember............I was trying for the solemn effect. Sorry you missed it.

Shame on you i4ni - how dare you come on this topic and pick an arguement? You are getting tiresome. You grief is no justification for your actions anymore.

It will be only a matter of time before you regret many of your words and I can only hope the good people of Pocomoke will forgive you.

I4NI - If you want to read self promoting testimony about 911 just go and read Blinks self promoting BS of where she was on that day. I think that we all were supposed to ohhh and ahhh and have some kind of warm fuzzy feeling about it. Made me pee my pants laughing when I read it.

We people of Pocomoke don't need to give testimony becuase our brains function just fine and we all remember.

Get a grip, you are losing it!

There are some things when/where silence is the most respect one can show, it's the Proud Americans way.

911- even after 8 years is one of those topics.

Those men and women from all walks of life went to war that day without second thought. They gave their lives knowingly to save a life. That's a true Patriot.

if anyone can question the silence, the noise, the people, the heroes, etc. well maybe they better take a good look in the mirror.

There are some things that go 'unquestioned' we sit quietly in Church.... it's called respect.
