'Hate Crime' Attack Leads To Arrests

CRISFIELD, Md.- Crisfield police have arrested two people, in connection with that they're calling a 'hate crime'.

Crisfield police say that shortly after 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, officers responded to a reported assault at the Somers Cove Apartments (Housing Authority) for a vicious assault. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a victim bleeding profusely from the head and face.

An ambulance, was dispatched to the location of 64 Somers Cove Apartments and transported the victim to McCready Hospital for treatment. Due to the extent of his injuries, he was later transferred to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. The victim is currently listed in stable condition for treatment of fractures to the facial region, broken nose and stab and lacerations wounds to the head.

Police say an investigation revealed that the victim, a white male, was walking in front of 64 Somers Cove apartments when he was approached by two black males who allegedly told him, "We don't like white people or crackers." According to investigators, for no other apparent reason the suspects started beating the victim in the head and face, and then then began stabbing and cutting him in the head with a knife. Authorities say that during the attack, one of the suspects stated, "We got this white mother-expletive." Both suspects then fled the area before police arrived on the scene, according to investigators.

Police say an investigation led to the identity of both suspects. In the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 23, officers arrested one of the suspects, identified as 47-year-old William Jones,(photo left) of no fixed address. He was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and hate crime. He is being held in the Somerset County Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Police arrested the second suspect, 45-year-old Michael Eugene Tilghman (photo right) of 42 Somers Cove Apartments, Monday afternoon.

According to state records, both suspects are convicted felons.

A friend of the victim, Michele Simao says she saw the attack unfold, but doesn't think it was a hate crime.

"It was just a verbal confrontation at first, it wasn't like anyone went out looking for him specifically," Simao said. "Words were exchanged and one thing led to another."

Swastikas Found On Cars In Northwest Baltimore

Baltimore City police are investigating several acts of vandalism in Northwest Baltimore last weekend in which swastikas and other messages were spray-painted onto cars, said a police spokesman.

Cars were tagged on Strathmore Avenue, Clarinth Road and Labyrinth Road between late Friday night and early Saturday morning, said Kevin Brown, the spokesman.

In the 2800 block of W. Strathmore Ave., a swastika was spray-painted on a vehicle, along with the phrase "IH8U," while an expletive was found on the side of another vehicle in the same block. A third vehicle was keyed a block away, Brown said.

Swastikas and "Hitler" were painted on two vehicles in the 3900 block of Labyrinth Road and the 3700 block of Clarinth Road, Brown said.

St. Paul ‘happy-slapping’ video that has police and citizens outraged

The arrests and investigation followed the Monday posting of a YouTube video featuring eight Black males terrorizing bicyclists and pedestrians -- including children and older people -- in what appeared to be Minneapolis and St. Paul.

St. Paul police have arrested an adult and a juvenile in connection with a series of random attacks in Minneapolis and St. Paul, which were recorded on video and posted on YouTube.



The adult from Oakdale, whose age was not released, was booked into the Ramsey County Jail, while a 17-year-old with no listed hometown, was taken to a juvenile detention center. Both were booked Tuesday on suspicion of strong-arm robbery and aggravated assault, according to St. Paul police reports. Charges do not appear to have been filed.

Several other suspects have been identified but have not yet been arrested, police said.

A police report showed that at least one person came forward after he was tackled behind by an unknown male at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 while walking eastbound on Grand Avenue near Avon Street in St. Paul.

“Assault was probably posted on YouTube”, the report said.

Teacher Sought 'Hit' on Student, Cops Say

ATLANTA (Nov. 17) -- A suburban Atlanta high school teacher has been accused of pursuing a "hit" on a 16-year-old student last month, and the case is under investigation by local authorities.

Randolph Forde -- who teaches at Mundy's Mill High School in Clayton County -- has been charged with making terroristic threats and was released on bond.

He is currently on administrative leave from his job with pay and faces an employment hearing in early December, Charles White, a school district spokesman, said Tuesday.



A Clayton County Police report says the incident occurred October 9. The suspect took a student off a school bus and told him he "would pay him to kill the victim," the report says. When the student asked who the target would be, the suspect said he'd write the name on a note, it says.

"The teacher held a piece of paper up with the victim's name on it," said Officer Otis Willis III of the Clayton police.

Attorney Terance Madden, who represents alleged target and his family, issued a statement saying that problems between the boy and the teacher go back to "on or about September 29," when "Forde allegedly called my client outside the class and asked him if he is gay."
Then "on or about September 30," the two had an argument in class and Forde threatened "to hit him in his 'effin' mouth," Madden's statement said.

"Not only did my client report the verbal altercation and verbal threat to the vice principal of Mundy's Mill HS, he also reported that Mr. Forde asked him outside the classroom for the inappropriate question of whether he was gay," the statement said. "Apparently nothing was done by the school administration to either Mr. Forde or my client, because Mr. Forde was back in the classroom on October 1, as was my client."

Madden said the school didn't take any action until after a police report was filed on October 12 about the incident.

Fort Hood Shooter Hasan; Linked to Sept. 11 Hijackers

Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army major suspected of killing 13 people and wounding 29 others at Fort Hood, worshipped at the same mosque as two of the 9/11 terrorists.

According to the London Sunday Telegraph, Hasan attended services at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Va., in 2001 at the same time as Sept. 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour. Funeral services for Hasan's mother also was held at that mosque.

The FBI wants to interrogate Hasan to see if he met or knew al-Hamzi or Hanjour, reports the Telegraph.

The imam at the mosque at the time Hasan attended services there was Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical cleric who has been described as a supporter of al-Qaida. A third 9/11 hijacker attended al-Awlaki's lectures in California.

Shooter advised Obama transition; Fort Hood

Fort Hood triggerman aided team on Homeland Security task force

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the alleged shooter in yesterday's massacre at Fort Hood, played a homeland security

advisory role in President Barack Obama's transition into the White House, according to a key university policy institute document.

The Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University

published a document May 19, entitled "Thinking Anew – Security Priorities for the Next Administration: Proceedings Report of the HSPI Presidential Transition Task Force, April 2008 – January 2009," in which Hasan of the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine

is listed on page 29 of the document as a Task Force Event Participant.

Hasan received his medical degree from the military's Uniformed Services University School in Bethesda, Md., in 2001.

Noting that the Obama administration transition was proceeding, the GWU Homeland Security Policy Institute report described on the first page the role of the Presidential Transition Task Force as including "representatives from past Administrations, State government, Fortune 500 companies, academia, research institutions and non-governmental organizations with global reach."

While the GWU task force participants included several members of government, including representatives of the Department of Justice and the U.S Department of Homeland Security, there is no indication in the document that the group played any formal role in the official Obama transition, other than to serve in a university-based advisory capacity.

Daniel Kaniewski, deputy director of the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University affirmed to WND in a telephone interview this morning that the Nidal Hasan listed as attending the meetings of the HSPI Presidential Transition Task Force was the same person as the alleged shooter in the Fort Hood massacre.

Kaniewski said Hasan attended the meetings in his capacity as a member of the faculty of the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine, not as a member of the HSPI Presidential Task Force.

Kaniewski believed Hasan applied on the institute's website to attend the meeting and was accepted because of his professional credentials.

Kaniewski could not tell WND whether or not Hasan made comments from the audience that influenced the task force recommendations or not.

He further confirmed Hasan had attended several meetings held by the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University and that the institute is currently searching conference records to see if it is possible to determine what additional institute conferences he attended.

Massacre at Fort Hood

All the MSM is talking about is the Muslim shooter at Fort Hood, to hell with him... un-plug him and let Allah have him.

All I can think about is the American hero's and their families that he took out in a crazy shooting spree that took place because he couldn't have things 'his way'.

Hasan, was accepted, very well educated, and trained by our military only to turn that training against those that gave him the freedom to do so. Death is not good enough for him.

When will people wake-up to see that the muslim religion is not a "religion of peace" in-fact it's just the opposite. When a religion can and 'does' preach of killing those that will not convert to islam (even a family member) and they will be rewarded by taking this action (and they do) none of them can be trusted; And none should be 'trained' to make that task easier.

I just hope if he makes it, he will have a prompt meeting with the firing squad, his virgins await him.

Dad Arrested After Daughter Hit By Car

Immigrant Believed His Daughter Was Too 'Westernized,' Police Say

Police in a Phoenix suburb say an Iraqi immigrant has been arrested in Georgia for allegedly running down his daughter because she was becoming "too Westernized."

Police in Peoria, Ariz., are releasing few details but say 48-year-old Faleh Almaleki is in custody. They aren't saying where he is being held.

Jim Joyner, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service in Atlanta, says Almaleki was arrested Thursday when he arrived at Atlanta's airport.

Twenty-year-old Noor Faleh Almaleki is hospitalized in serious condition. Police say the Almalekis moved to the suburb of Glendale from Iraq during the mid-'90s.

Police say Faleh Almaleki was upset that his daughter had become too "Westernized," and he aimed his car at her Oct. 20 in a Peoria parking lot.

6th Person Arrested in Gang Rape of Girl After Homecoming Dance

The number of people arrested in the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside a high school dance in Northern California has increased to six and could get higher, authorities said.

Jose Carlos Montano, 18, was arrested Thursday evening outside his San Pablo home. He was being held on $1.3 million bail, on suspicion of rape, rape in concert with force and other charges, Richmond police said.

Authorities were still looking for suspects, and have said as many as 10 people ranging from 15 to the mid-20s may have attacked the girl for more than two hours Saturday in a dimly lit area.

Montano's arrest came after three other teen suspects appeared in court for the first time Thursday.

Cody Ray Smith, 15, pleaded not guilty, while Ari Abdallah Morales, 16, and Marcelles James Peter, 17, did not enter pleas during their arraignment in Contra Costa County Superior Court.

Smith, Morales and Peter each were charged with rape in concert and sexual penetration with a foreign object. They were being held without bail and could be eligible for life in prison, if convicted.

The three were charged as adults because of the severity of the crime, prosecutor Dara Cashman said.

Another suspect, 19-year-old Manuel Ortega, was arraigned separately but did not enter a plea. He is charged with rape, robbery and assault causing great bodily injury, and is being held on $1.2 million bail.

Salvador Rodriguez, 21, also remained jailed but has not been charged.

Bullet Hits Lou Dobbs' NJ Home

WANTAGE, N.J. (Oct. 29) - Police in New Jersey are trying to determine who fired a bullet that struck CNN commentator Lou Dobbs' home as his wife stood nearby.

State police Sgt. Stephen Jones says Dobbs' wife and driver were outside the home Oct. 5 when they heard the gunshot. Jones says the bullet didn't penetrate the siding and fell to the ground outside.

Dobbs mentioned the bullet earlier this week on CNN and his radio show.
Dobbs says he had been receiving threatening phone calls for weeks. On his radio show, he connected the gunshot to his advocacy for a crackdown on illegal immigration and to his opponents' rhetoric.

The home is on a farm in Wantage, about 50 miles northwest of New York City.
It is small-game hunting season, but no hunters were seen in the area.

Gang Rape Victim's Friend Blasts Officials

Kami Baker, a student at Richmond High School in Richmond, Calif., says she feels unsafe at school. At homecoming, which her friend attended before she was attacked, no officers checked on a dozen men outside the gym, Baker says

"We were going to go look for her," said Kami Baker, 16, a junior at the school.
The next day, Baker learned the ugly truth about what had happened to her friend.
She had been gang raped and beaten for almost 2 1/2 hours and left unconscious under a bench shortly before midnight Saturday night.
"I busted up crying," Baker said.

Upper Marlboro Woman Pleads Guilty to Mailing Threatening Letters

GREENBELT, Md. (Oct. 27, 2009) - Lakeisha Jones, age 31, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, pleaded guilty on Oct. 16 to sending threats through the mail, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein.

According to the plea agreement, around February 21, 2008, Jones sent a package through the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail directed to the victim and the victim’s child, which contained a dead mouse and a threatening letter entitled “Black Curse” and “Voodoo Spell” describing physical harm to be inflicted by Jones upon the victim, the victim’s mother and the victim’s child. On about March 7, 2008, Jones mailed a package to another individual, which contained a dead mouse and a letter describing lewd sexual acts to be performed on the victim’s child, and also described the dismemberment of the victim’s child. The communication also contained hand-drawn depictions of the child being shot.

Jones faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison on each of the two counts. U.S. District Judge Deborah K. Chasanow has scheduled sentencing for February 21, 2009 at 9:30 a.m.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein thanked the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for its investigative work. Mr. Rosenstein commended Assistant United States Attorneys Gina L. Simms and Stacy Dawson Belf, who are prosecuting the case.

Richmond police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the two-hour gang rape of a semiconscious 15-year-old outside her homecoming dance at Richmond High, authorities said Monday night.

Police arrested and booked a 15-year-old student from Richmond High for felony sexual assault and are continuing to actively search for other suspects - both juveniles and adults - through the night, Detective Ken Greco said. The boy's name and grade level were not released.

The suspect was one of two students in custody for questioning early Monday evening, Greco said. Authorities have already arrested 19-year-old Manuel Ortega as he ran from the crime scene, police say.

Authorities said people took photos,laughed and some joined in as the girl was repeatedly assaulted. The victim, a student, remained hospitalized Monday with injuries that were not life-threatening.

"She was raped, beaten, robbed and dehumanized by several suspects who were obviously OK enough with it to behave that way in each other's presence," said Lt. Mark Gagan, a patrol supervisor in the city's Northern Policing District. "What makes it even more disturbing is the presence of others. People came by, saw what was happening, and failed to report it."
