Odor on Nictitate; The Final Chapter
By Odor Eliminator
The Final Chapter
OE is writing the final chapter of Nictitate and the groupies drama. It is with sadness that OE writes this chapter because a beautiful young woman’s life has been taken. The mother of three will never come home to her children and they will have to go on in life knowing that there are bad people out there who do bad things all the while pretending to be a friend. Sadly this is what our world has come to.
Realistically, we all were fairly sure that something terrible had happened to Christine. When we all spent time searching for her, it was remains that we were looking for. Even so, confirmation of our thoughts has cast a sorrowful shadow over everyone.
Along came a spider named Nictitate spinning her web of lies and deceit. She and her 3 ring circus of groupies hanging from her nest spreading their tales have done nothing but dish out a lot of hurt at many people. The accusations have been ruthless and no one was spared any kindness from this bunch. It brings to mind a picture of a pack of wild dogs running unrestrained from attacking anything that moves.
Instead of issuing the many apologies that are owed, once again Nictitate has publicly blamed the Pocomoke Volunteer Fire Company for Christine’s death. As the spokesperson for Christine’s family, she announced that had the PVFD investigated the fires on Byrd Road, Christine would not have been murdered. In Chapter 5 of Odor on Nictitate OE clearly explained who is responsible for investigating fires. OE will say it one more time – The Fire Marshalls Office investigates fires not the VFD’s. PVFD puts out fires and has nothing to do with any investigation of a fire. Got it?
It is beyond OE’s understanding that why, at this time is Nictitate blaming people? She should be grieving along with Christine’s family and should be relieved that Christine has finally been found. Does Nictitate imagine that her statement will bring hoards of press to her as someone “in the know”?
Of course the Pocomoke Tattler has used the blog as a forum to launch political attacks. While they may be right about Mayor McDermott they don’t have the knowledge, manners, or breeding to know that Christine’s murder and the finding of her remains is not something to use as a forum for their ranting of conspiracies. Billy Burke defined the purpose of the blog in a recent post – “ The purpose of the Pocomoke Tattler is to expose corruption & incontinence in the Pocomoke city government”. Is he talking about fecal, urinary, or philosophical incontinence? Check the word out on Wikipedia.
Maybe the owners of the blog should explain why they withheld postings from a person claiming to be JR. In one of those postings this person said that we were “way off” in finding her when we had the big search in March. A conspiracy was launched by the owners when they conspired to withhold evidence. Sources tell OE that the evidence would not have come forth unless a citizen had not informed LE about these posts. Contrary to claims made LE did not tell the owners to withhold the postings. After LE questioned the owners, all of the postings magically appeared on the Pocomoke Tattler.
Accusations of LE persons withholding and tampering with evidence in the Sheddy case has been said and Billy and Stephanie Burke have used Christine as an avenue to spew forth their hatred of authorities in Pocomoke and at people who don’t agree with them or that they don’t like.
It’s clear that Nictitate and her groupies know nothing about what lead LE to finding Christine. No, someone did not have the “cajones to come forward” with information in this case. At this time OE will not say anymore. But OE can say that Nictitate and the groupies had nothing to do with the info that LE received. A piece of advice to Nictitate and her groupies - if you’re going to say something make sure you know what you are talking about.
Some people have not appreciated anything that the people of Pocomoke have done to try and find Christine. OE would like to say “thank you” to all of the many fine people of the City and surrounding area for all of the hard work and time put forth to find Christine and for opening up your arms to welcome her family in their search for her. It has been an exemplary example of how a community can come together for a common cause.
Time will tell all. Unfortunately, Nictitate and her groupies were visited upon all of us and managed to divide people. We have endured. Nictitate and the groupies will be left to go on their way. They will find other victims to feed of off. Unfortunately in their quest for fame they have managed to announce to the world things that could jeopardize the case. Blabbing everything that one knows doesn’t do anything but give information to the accused. How stupid!
OE is glad to be writing this last chapter about Odor on Nictitate and will now tell the meaning of the title – Stink on Blink! From the very beginning this person smelled. The odor of deceit lies heavily around her. One can smell it from a distance and know that this is evil. She launched her lies by pretending to be a new investigator on Christine’s case and started collecting her groupies to launch a rainstorm of untruths and hatred upon us. She was immediately “outed” and her real purpose was exposed – writing a book. This book is what spurred OE’s tale in order to get at the truth instead of allowing Blink to write made up stories. There is something seriously wrong with this person.
The International Seer Society also visited us. Those claiming to “see” where Christine was were nowhere near being correct. While their claims hampered searches for Christine one has to admit that this part of the tale provided much amusement. Who knows, maybe there are people out there who “see” things but OE doesn’t believe that any of those people visited us. Those who did visit us wasted much time and energy in the search for Christine but one can shrug it off and say “oh well” it was all for the cause of trying to find her. We will miss “man with a stick” although misguided in his methods he appeared to be genuine about finding Christine. I imagine that us “inbreeds” will talk about this for a long time!
May Christine rest in peace and may her family find closure to this horrible story. May her children grow up to be strong, healthy, and good people. May those responsible be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and may they rot in hell. Just remember, the State of Maryland does have the death penalty!
Bye, Bye Blink!

Chapter 2
Who’s Who in the Nictitate Tale
Rich man, poor man, baker man, thief ……….. keeps running through my head as I write. Most of us probably remember it as a rhyme chanted while jumping rope as a child. I was thinking about all of the “characters” in Nictitates tale, trying to figure out where they belong in my story, and the ditty popped into my head. The ditty is a relentless nag!
It’s been almost two years since Christine Sheddy went missing from the farm house on Byrd Road in Pocomoke, Maryland. Strong belief is that Christine was murdered and since the very beginning, thoughts about who is responsible for her disappearance have not changed.
Several searches of the farm and surrounding area have been conducted by Law Enforcement Agencies, VFD’s, Search and Rescue Teams, and community volunteers. Criticism has been bandied about over the thoroughness of these efforts and of late, accusations have spun out of control. When I started to write this tale, I said that I would search for the truth. This endeavor has proven to be a mind blowing saga that leaves my head spinning and it’s hard to tell where truth leaves off and conspiracy theories take over.
If you’ve read the tale that is being spun by Nictitate there are many characters in the plot. I’m not going to go over the usual list of characters, if you’ve made it this far in the saga, you know who they are or at the very least can find the list on other blogs.
Along came a spider named Nictitate claiming to have “eyewitness” accounts of all of the happenings on the Byrd Road farm. Where she came from is anyone’s guess but we definitely know that she’s not from around these parts.
Cyber detectives and bloggers have been busy this past week tracking down Nictitates nest. It’s lined with AKA’s such as Nidlund, Walker, Moser, Stoy, and a probable AKA of Castellano. In thinking about all of these AKA’s, I dreamed up a new pest control commercial where the spider changes appearances to avoid the bug spray but in the end the spray can says pssst, gotcha!
Lying in wait for their prey, spiders are crafty by nature and Nictitate is no different. Spinning a web from crude fiber she allows her groupies to precariously hang on in case something larger comes along as she knows they will attack. Every once in a while Nictitate throws a left over morsel to the groupies to keep their appetites in check.
Posing as a free lance journalist, investigative journalist, crime writer, editor in chief, an investigator, public relations, communications specialist, and lead analyst/investigator 3View Search Services she lies in wait. Now that’s what I call a really big spider!
In an exclusive interview with neighbors, OE now has some answers to your burning questions. What was Nictitate supposed to be when her associate Man With A Stick approached them about contributing to her tale? “The new detective investigating Christine’s case,” said the neighbors. “She’s from Philadelphia and she has lots of contacts in high places”.
As a matter of fact, when the neighbors didn’t speak with Nictitate at that time as they were going out of town, she called and left a telephone message the following day requesting for them to return her call and also sent an email posing as the lead analyst/investigator 3View Search Services. Now how do you suppose she got their telephone number and email address?
Having seen and spoken to Man With A Stick on some of the searches for Christine, the neighbors trusted him and had originally agreed that they would speak with Nictitate. They now say that “fate stepped in that day” because the timing of the request didn’t fit with their schedule.
After finding out that Nictitate wasn’t such a big spider after all, the neighbors have not spoken to her, will not speak to her, have not or will not give her anything that belongs to them for her book that she is writing. They say that they don’t like “duplicity” and believe that anyone who has to be misleading about what kind of spider they really are needs to get a psssst from the bug spray can.
Rich man, poor man, baker man, thief…….. I now know why the ditty has been a relentless nag. It’s because of all of the poses of Nictitate. Saying that “Nictitate has taken things that belong to them to use as her own and has invaded their privacy by writing inaccurate and twisted tales about the eyewitness accounts of happenings on Byrd Road” the neighbors shake their heads in disgust.
Nictitates tale has gotten way out of control. And yes, downright lies are being told. The character of the people has been carelessly thrown on the ground and stomped on. Furthering the downward spiral is puffed up self important people using Christine’s case to further their private agenda’s. It’s a sad day when in the same breath, a cry for bringing in the FBI to help is finished with a tirade about the corrupt town of Pocomoke. Conspiracy indeed!
The last characters in the who’s who of the Nictitate tale that I’m going to talk about are Law Enforcement. You know, the “real legal people” investigating Christine’s case? But that will have to wait for another day. Too much information at one time about this saga will make your head spin.
Coming soon….. Odor on Nictitate, Chapter 3 – Someone’s got to take the heat, it might as well be the cops!

Odor on Nictitate (chapter 8)
Odor on Nictitate
By Odor Eliminator
Chapter 8
The Invention of a Story
We have been patiently waiting to hear about the tremendous efforts to find Christine by Nictitate and the groupies. It has been very quiet and one could assume that a time out was taken for the Holidays.
A few rather strange postings have appeared on blogs concerning Christine’s case. One rather entertaining post introduces a person named Henry. Where Henry came from is anyone’s guess and OE supposes that he is another conjured up mystery to try and keep Nictitate in the spotlight.
Using the imagination, OE has invented a story to go along with this new mystery.
Along came a spider named Nictitate spinning tales of deception while the groupies hanging from her nest conjure up subjects to add to the tales.
A person named Henry met Christine through a mutual friend. They went out on a date and he instantly became obsessed with her. Supposedly, Christine never told her family about Henry. - Okay, I can buy that she might have met someone and gone out on a date however how could her family not know about Henry. Someone had to babysit for her while she was out and she was living at her mother’s home. Did she just up and walk out and not tell anyone where she was going? What excuse did she give for needing someone to watch the children?
The story continues with Henry instantly becoming so enamored with Christine that he turns into a stalker. Anyone who has ever been a victim of stalking knows that their stalker appears everywhere that they go and the stalker is always watching. Are we to believe that no one ever saw Henry the stalker and that Christine told no one not even her sister whom she was close with or her BFF “Q”?
Continuing on…… Henry has been stalking Christine however he convinces her to go out on another date. What? I’m sorry folks but OE was shocked by this revelation. No one in their right mind would go out on a date with someone who has been watching and following them. The end of the story about Henry the stalker is that while out on this date he took Christine across the State Line and she disappeared.
Nictitate and the groupies have out done their selves with this one.
We all know that Christine and the boy’s left with her BFF “Q” after having an argument with her mother and went to the Milford, DE Wal-Mart to meet JR & Tia. We also know that JR & Tia took Christine and the boy’s across the State Line to Pocomoke, MD where she lived with them at the farm house on Byrd Road until she disappeared.
On a blog frequented by Nictitate and the groupies one of the comments wonders when we will hear the next chapter on Christine. We all are waiting for the great one to tell us where Christine is and still we wait, and we wait, and we wait……….
As is appropriate for the New Year, OE is taking a “look back” at 2009. Sadly enough, looking back at the Nictitate saga in Christine’s case, OE comes up with a big fat zero.
It’s been almost 6 months since Nictitate and the groupies were inserted into Christine’s case. Many of us knew from the beginning that the promise of solving the case within 3 months was empty. Some of us tried to warn Christine’s family about Nictitates real motives for getting involved. We were attacked for doubting and anyone who opposed Nictitates methods were quickly turned into being suspect or being someone with something to hide.
Nictitates methods made an attempt at tearing a community apart and we saw the owners of a local blog jump into Nictitates nest and spew forth hatred and ugliness at anyone who dared to oppose their Queen.
Conspiracy was the word for 2009. One after another, conspiracies swirled around Christine’s case like a dust devil. They blew in from nowhere, stirred up the dust, and blew away as quickly as they appeared.
Friendships were broken and support for Christine’s family was withdrawn by many people because the family supported Nictitates methods and never spoke up in an attempt to end it. Many people felt a slap in the face as Nictitate continued on with the whirlwind of destruction.
From the very beginning of Nictitates appearance, lies were told. Bloggers quickly did research and past acquaintances of Nictitate came forward with the truth. We had in our midst nothing more than a self proclaimed investigative journalist who has a habit of worming into cases of missing people. High profile was the target and we were told that the national media was coming to cover Christine’s case. Sources tell OE that efforts from the community got more attention than anything Nictitate did. A letter writing or sending email campaign to America’s Most Wanted by the community got Christine case onto AMW’s website. We’re still waiting for Nictitates national media blitz.
Sadly, it appears that Christine’s case is at a standstill. Sources tell OE that private opinion of some LE is that the case has been turned into a 3 ring circus. Without naming names, it’s easy to figure out who’s staring in each ring!
A post by the great one herself says that she is letting the powers to [that] be do their work…….. What a novel idea. It’s a little too late for that notion don’t ya think?
The post finishes by saying that “with some other interesting developments in the background……”. If the groupie story about Henry is an example of the interesting developments in the background, OE for one can’t wait to see what is conjured up next.

There's an Out of Town Odor (Part 1)
By Odor Eliminator
Prelude:
Most of us “locals” are aware of Christine Sheddy’s disappearance and many of us have offered assistance in finding her in some shape or form. An entire community has reached out to her family and embraced them in their efforts to find Christine. Even the lowliest, kind thought or prayer has been worthy.
Chapter One:
The Characters
Ohhhh and Ahhhh, we’ve really got a juicy story for you.
Just in case you haven’t been following, I’m referring to the newest drama running riot over the Christine Sheddy case. The disappearance of Christine is being spun into a tale of “oh-my- gosh conspiracy” in every nook and cranny of Pocomoke City, Worcester County, and possibly the State of Maryland.
Along comes a spider named Nictitate. She’s spinning a tale from whatever scrap of information, whether it be true or false, with an agenda that has nothing to do with finding Christine. Dissatisfied opinions of local government or politicians and self satisfying needs to blame or bash someone or anyone, further a conspiracy theory.
Nictitate is writing a story about Christine’s case posing as an investigator, telling some she is a detective, and who in reality is a self proclaimed investigative journalist. Adding to the suspense of the story, Nictitate releases one chapter at a time. Why one chapter at a time? In doing so it allows for all of her groupies to comment and speculate and for local blogs to post the chapter. Links are everywhere and always redirect to Nictitates website where she racks up hits.
After each chapter is released bloggers run amok posting questions, comments, and going so far as having cyber arguments. Dissenters of the agenda are quickly “slapped down” by either Nictitate or one of the groupies.
Chapter 1 of the tale starts off with background information and a peek into the private life of Christine. While there could be many reasons for this introduction “exploitation” comes to mind. For the life of me, I can’t imagine why I would discuss or give information to a complete stranger about one of mine without knowing exactly who that stranger is, what they are, and what they want it for.
Now I know that I’m going to catch the devil for that last comment but it’s something that needs to be said. The real “case” is about the disappearance of Christine Sheddy, finding her, and apprehending those responsible for her disappearance. PERIOD!
Christine’ relationship, good or bad, with Levi Hall should remain personal. Unless of course, Nictitate is saying that Levi Hall is a suspect in the disappearance of Christine Sheddy and that their personal life is pertinent to the case.
We can go back and read the chapters of the tale being spun by Nictitate however reading the posts from bloggers is much more interesting. Although it gets quite confusing trying to follow along if you have the time and patience you will find yourself getting the picture.
Nictitate claims to have “eyewitness” accounts and insider information and the tale is supposedly spun from these accounts. We know better. The real people, who Nictitate has written off to being inbred hillbillies, or some such thing, are the “eyewitnesses” and have not given any information for Nictitate to spin her tale from.
Odor Eliminator has decided to search for the truth of the matter and contribute the findings to the Pocomoke Public Eye. It’s expected to get hairy once the groupies jump in so hold on to your seat. Nictitates tale will be analyzed as well as many untruths posted on blogs along the way. The conspiracy will be “outed” and as Paul Harvey used to say, “now you know the rest of the story”. I know that some of you are impatient but sifting through the tale takes time.
Coming next – Odor on Nictitate, Chapter Two: a Who’s Who in the Nictitate Tale

Odor on Nictitate (Chapter 7)
Odor on Nictitate
By Odor Eliminator
Chapter 7 - The Players
The saga continues and this one is a doozie. OE has been reading on a local blog that one of the Detectives involved in Christine’s case has covered up the raping of children. It’s interesting that there are no legal and real charges to be found anywhere or the arrest of the police officer being accused.
Allegedly, and I use the word loosely, this Pocomoke City Police officer has been involved in not only refusing to arrest a rapist but also receiving and keeping pictures on his cell phone of the act. The story gets confusing because it’s alleged that the police officer covered up two separate cases of child rape.
Allegations against the police officer also include tampering of evidence in a separate case against a local blogger going by the name of Boss Hogg. For those of you who have not been keeping up with the drama in this case the owner of the Pocomoke Tattler, Billy Burke is going to stand trial for illegal wiretapping. Soon! The same police officer who served and carried out a warrant on the Burke’s is the police officer now being accused of the cover up of the child rape cases.
The accusers of the stories are of course the Pocomoke Conspiracy Theorist who has been shouting from the roof tops about all kinds of conspiracies going on in Pocomoke. Nictitate has appeared in the mix of things as well as a family member of Christine. Tampering and withholding of evidence has been brought into Christine’s case and this suggestion is spawned by the groupies hanging onto Nictitates nest.
No solid evidence has been forth coming against this police officer by the groupies however they are running like a pack of wild dogs making all kinds of wild accusations.
Sources tell OE that this same police officer hung up the telephone on Christine’s mother Lynn, after telling her that Christine’s case is not his. Apparently,
Along came a spider called Nictitate with a nest full of groupies spinning all kinds of tales.
It’s OE’s belief that this police officer is another victim, in a long line of victims, of Nictitate and the pesky little spiders who hang from her nest. The last victims in this saga were the Pocomoke VFD and for those of us managing to keep up with Nictitates tale, they were accused up covering up for someone in Christine’s disappearance.
Just when OE thought that Nictitates tale had gotten boring and full of old news, out comes this outrageously bizarre story about the Pocomoke police officer. It shouldn’t surprise any of us however one has to admit that the story is a doozie. While we were promised a big news story from local and national news media a week ago, no such news flash has appeared.
One might ask, what does all of this have to do with Christine’s disappearance and her case? Absolutely nothing! What it appears to have to do with is an attempt to keep Billy Burke out of jail for illegal wire tapping and because Christine’s mother, Lynn, is P Oed for being hung up on. If we figure in the Pocomoke Conspiracy Theorist, it’s the Three Card Monte game again and we know who the players are.
Worcester County Sheriff’s Department and Worcester County Bureau of Investigation have always handled Christine’s case. Christine’s case is not and never has been handled by the Pocomoke City Police Department and the fixation by Nictitate and the groupies is puzzling. That is of course if we are supposed to be focusing on Christine.
OE wonders if maybe those of us who’ve always been focused on finding Christine missed the memo about focusing on other issues and OE wishes that Nictitate and the groupies would stop confusing all of us and let us know what it is that we are really supposed to be focusing on.
Early on after the Great One appeared on the scene comments not relevant to Christine’s case were not allowed on her blog. Somewhere along the line a 360 degree turn happened and all out war was declared against the City of
OE thinks that it is safe to say that those who’ve been leading the public effort to find Christine have found other subjects to work on. At this rate we will never find her. It’s way past time to put away all of the evilness and hatred and get back to the real subject. For those of you who have been caught up in the web being spun by Nictitate and the groupies – the subject is finding CHRSITINE.
OE sincerely hopes that the next chapter will be full of positive and true efforts in finding Christine to write about. Forever an optimist OE fears that misplaced hope has been presumed in the thought that Nictitates tale can be ended any time soon.

Odor on Nictitate (chapter 3)
By Odor Eliminator
Chapter 3 – Someone’s got to take the heat, it might as well be the cops!
Bloggers sure have been busy this past week. It’s taking me longer and longer to keep up with all of the posts on the many blogs. Trying to sort through the relevance of all the mucky muck that is being slung out into cyberspace is becoming a who’s who story of its own. This book might well extend into the next millennium.
Before I go any further I need to say that there is a great divide that has been inserted into Christine’s case and it appears as if there are now sides as to who the good people are and who the bad people are. In relationship to the case, the only bad guys are whoever is involved in Christine’s disappearance.
Secondly, if you have ever been a victim of crime, you will understand the feelings of expecting law enforcement to move heaven and earth to put the perpetrator(s) behind bars. Add watching too many television programs such as CSI or Cold Case to the mix of emotions and the imagination runs wild.
So, where were we? Last week, we left off with the promise of looking into law enforcements role in this saga. This is going to take some time so for all of you avid readers out there – sit back and get comfy because I’m going to stop along the way for doses of rationality.
In telling this story, it needs to be perfectly understood that no member of law enforcement has contributed to this accounting. Likewise, OE would never expect LE to divulge any details concerning Christine’s case and would think much less of them if they did.
Along came a spider called Nictitate spinning a tale of corruption and conspiracy within law enforcement agencies involved in Christine’s case. Nictitates tale is spun from a long running conspiracy theory which has been brewing in the City of Pocomoke and fueled by opinions from a local blog. In the spirit of fairness, one has to reason that it’s much more interesting to tell conspiracy tales than to tell factual accountings of a story.
Just what does a real accounting of the events of police involvement tell? Supposedly, the police dropped the ball in the very beginning when Christine went missing and if you listen to the chatter, they haven’t done much good since then. This is where OE’s investigation has gone. Sources and eyewitness accounts are differing from the chatter.
Concerns over Christine missing began on the evening of November 13, 2007 and a call was made to the Pocomoke City Police Department by her family. The caller was told to contact the Delaware State Police.
At this point in time, there’s no reason to suspect that anything out of the ordinary had taken place only that someone had taken off. Christine had every right to disappear if she wanted to since she was an adult and couldn’t be considered an underage runaway.
In addition, the farm house where Christine was staying is not within the jurisdiction of the PCPD it’s in the jurisdiction of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department and the Maryland State Police. Christine was from Delaware, was supposed to have returned to Delaware that evening, and the caller was from Delaware.
– Proper procedure?
By November 15th, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the farm on Byrd Road to take a statement from the last people to see Christine Sheddy. The occupants, Clarence aka Butch, aka Junior, aka JR, Jackson and Teresa Lynn, aka Tia Johnson, tell the story that they had left the farm on the afternoon of the 13th to pick their children up from school and when they returned they found that Christine was gone and had left her two young children behind.
It’s also known that at the time of Christine’s disappearance a cousin of Tia’s, Justin Hadel was living at the farm house and he was questioned as well. It is not known if Justin Hadel left the farm house with JR and Tia when they went to pick their children up from school. There is evidence that tells a different story than the one that JR, Tia, and Justin tell.
There are others who LE has identified that were on the premises during the day of November 13th when Christine was reported missing.
Time Out……… Dose of rationality………………..
Nictitates tale says that Christine was murdered on the night of November 12th. How this has been determined is anyone’s guess and it appears as if a supposition has been made. Nictitates groupies are hanging on the web of tales accepting it as the gospel truth. We know that Nictitates nest has hatched out some interesting babies who have become a team and they claim to have psychic powers.
Observers of the international seer society have mixed thoughts about their special abilities and say that it’s a show worth seeing. Over the past two years, the team of seers has placed Christine all over the countryside. Witnesses tell OE that some within LE were willing to be opened minded enough and to satisfy Christine’s family’s insistence of looking into information provided by the seers. But that is something that will be for a later chapter of the Odor on Nictitate tale.
We all can speculate as to what happened to Christine and come up with a determination however that doesn’t mean that it’s the truth. Only those who witnessed the happenings of what went on the evening of November 12th and the day of November 13th, know the real story.
Sources tell us that three days later a Worcester County Sheriff is seen going through the neighborhood surrounding the farm armed with pictures of a young man and woman practicing tongue exercises together. They are asking folks if they have seen the young woman because she is missing.
One eyewitness tells us that it was a Sunday afternoon when they were stopped while on Byrd Road and asked about the pictures. The Deputy who asked them was off duty and they joked and teased with him about his dedication to his job.
Within a couple of days following, Worcester County Sheriff’s arrive on the Byrd Road Farm to search for the missing woman. Several units are dispatched to aide in this effort. The occupants of the farm house are not at home.
Scuttle butt is that LE found the door to the farm house ajar and checked it out for a possible breaking and entering. Upon entering the house, pets within were found in physically bad shape and the proper authorities were called to remove them from their environment.
When LE left the premises, they stopped and showed the neighbors the pictures and asked about the missing woman. The neighbors tell OE that they did not recognize the woman in the picture but learned her name and that she had been reported missing. LE also asked and was given pictures from a security camera on their property.
Okay, Time Out….... Now I don’t know about the rest of you but…… from what I understand, in Maryland, people who want to file a missing persons report should contact the law agency within the county that they are living or where the missing person was living, not where they went missing from. The next step is to file a written report with that agency and provide LE with as many details about the missing person as they can. Remember that PCPD told the family to contact the Delaware State Police? The Delaware police then told the family that they needed to contact local authorities where the person went missing from. Since the family didn’t know where the farm was located, they contacted the Pocomoke Volunteer Fire Department and were given the correct address of the farm. Is it too far of a stretch of one’s imagination to think that the family was told by PCPD what the procedure is? Nothing more nothing less?
Rationality dose - In less than two days time the police take a statement concerning Christine missing. What can be clearly seen here is “special” treatment if you take into consideration all of the legal procedures for a person to be considered missing and for LE to step in.
We are now into over a week since Christine went missing. There is no indication of foul play behind her disappearance but LE is still looking for her. If everyone is to believe the early stories, Christine was portrayed as someone who had a habit of disappearing. It’s been said that she had been known to drop her two youngest children off with their father Levi Hall and then pull a vanishing act. At the time that Christine went to Pocomoke for an extended visit, Levi was leaving messages on My Space looking for her.
Police investigations deal in facts. There is a reason for that and it’s called the law. The law is there to protect people’s rights and LE can’t just go around accusing people of things without hard proof. A family’s say so is not hard proof of anything except their loyalty to a family member.
It’s reasonable to think that by the end of November 2007, LE had heard so many stories from many sources that they were going to have to start sifting through all of the statements and try to figure out if indeed there had been foul play surrounding Christine’s disappearance.
Sources tell OE that in early December, LE visited the Byrd Road property again at night time. JR and Tia had been evicted and Christine’s case had been turned over to the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation.
Eyewitnesses to this visit say that WCBI investigators notified them that they would be on the property and not to be alarmed if they observed lights coming from the now empty farm house. At this time, the neighbors were still using the services of a private security firm and LE didn’t want to cause any unnecessary concern over their presence.
During this same month, December 2007, LE along with Flatland Search and Rescue conducted a search of the entire Byrd Road Area.
What did WCBI find on their visit to the farm house in early December? If you listen to the ranting of the cop bashers - nothing.
Time Out…….here comes another dose of rationality………. It’s highly doubtful that LE would discuss anything about what they did or didn’t find at the farm during their visits. What we do know is that they continued to look for Christine.
What we are told is that at some point during this time frame Christine’s mother had a conversation with Mike McDermott, Mayor of Pocomoke City and a detective with WCBI. Evidently some heated words were exchanged and as the story goes Mr. McDermott made some type of disparaging comment about Christine being a sponge on society. That comment has recently been repeated by a local blog owner who has said that it’s true because Mr. McDermott made the same comment about Christine to them.
What’s obvious is that there is bad blood between the Mayor of Pocomoke City, Christine’s family, and the owners of the local blog. Anyone can see that as soon as you read the many episodes of negative comments on the blog concerning the Mayor of our fair city.
Somehow in all of the controversy over the Mayor, Christine’s family members and the blog owners joined forces for a common cause. Get the Mayor/Detective. This is where the lines get real fuzzy and it’s a take no prisoner war. It’s apparent to bloggers that you are either with them are you’re not. There is not any middle ground and you can’t be interested in helping to find Christine unless you are also interested in bashing Mr. McDermott.
What gets real confusing is how the battle with the Mayor equates to slip shod police work in looking for Christine. Yes, I know, I’m kind of jumping around here on subjects but honestly if you’ve been a witness to any of the shenanigans, this is how it goes. You can’t talk or think about one without the other. If Mayor McDermott made such a disparaging comment about Christine, then he needs to man up, own it, and correct the problem!
Unfortunately for all of the many fine men and woman of LE who have been in any way involved in Christine’s case are now the targets of the bad mouthing. Sources who have observed the work of LE tell OE that the police have made many efforts to find Christine. One source tells us that Christine’s family knows that LE is progressing in the case and at this time they are waiting on crucial evidence.
Many sources tell OE that they have witnessed LE efforts in finding Christine. One witness tells OE “I have seen many times where detectives involved in Christine’s case have been out searching on their day off”. So now you have it folks. Did LE drop the ball? OE says NO. For all of the thankless ingrates OE is stepping up in their place and says “thank you” to LE for all of your efforts in trying to find Christine!
OE thinks it would be an intelligent decision for the cop bashers to stop their shenanigans. To lay blame on LE is ridiculous and disrespectful of their efforts. Nictitates tale is just that, a tale filled with nonsense and maliciousness. The seer’s society needs to cut the crap. The word charlatan comes to mind.
Up next……… Odor on Nictitate, Chapter 4: The Search is on for Christine.

Odor on Nictitate The Byrd Rd Fires (chapter 5)
By Odor Eliminator
Chapter 5: Just the facts, Man!
OE has decided that this chapter will not be about Nictitates misguided, misinformed, and sometimes made up story. Somehow along the way of this tale, OE came to the realization that Nictitates book was just plain stupid! There will always be someone out there looking to suck off of another to sensationalize their self. Anyone with half a brain can figure out Nictitates motives and if you can’t, OE will tell you that the motives are not pure.
Christine’s family has chosen to align their selves with Nictitate and have exhibited behavior beyond belief to all who have done nothing more than extend a hand of compassion. We know who has done what and belaboring the point is useless. Their behavior is self destructive and OE believes that they know no other way in life.
OE began this tale because too many lies were being told about efforts to find Christine and bring the people to justice who are responsible for her disappearance. Good, kind hearted people were being unfairly maligned and it was beyond OE’s realm of understanding how anyone could be so evil and hateful wishing to intentionally cause pain to others. It is still beyond OE’s realm of understanding.
Much ado has been made about the Fires on Byrd Road. Readers have asked many questions about what went on during the period from September to November of 2007 at the farm where Christine was staying and was last seen. Speculation about these fires is that the occupants disposed of Christine in one of the many fires and one of the searches focused on sifting through the ashes of the burnt down chicken house. OE has searched out the story about the fires and is now sharing them with you.
Sources tell OE that the first fire started around 10:00 P.M. on September 20, 2007. The neighbors tell OE that their dog had been barking off and on and they assumed that it was barking at deer walking around and eating in the just harvested corn fields surrounding the farm. They first noticed the fire while watching television and catching a glimpse of bright orange out the window. One of the neighbors got up and looked and saw that the end of one of the old chicken houses on the farm was in flames. They immediately called 911 to report the fire.
Fire crews arrived within minutes to put out the flames which were by then burning out of control. The neighbors say that “they were thankful that the fire fighters took the initiative to place a fire truck and firefighters on their property to protect their buildings in case the fire spread”. Amazingly, the fire didn’t spread and the neighbors say that it was due to the “quick response and hard work of the fire crews getting the fire under control”.
Sources tell OE that speculation and questions about how the fire got started in the first place began immediately. The farm had stood empty for about 5 years prior to the occupants moving in. The electric to the old chicken houses was turned off at the main breakers. Why didn’t the occupants of the farm house call 911 to report the fire? Sources tell OE that they had to have seen it because by the time the neighbors saw it the fire was burning out of control.
It is known that the occupants first said that “hunters” had been on the property and insisted the “hunters” were around when the fire started and were also back on the property afterwards. No one else saw these “hunters”. Sources tell OE that the following day one of the occupants of the farm house produced a Delaware license plate that had been partially burned. Supposedly, it was found while the occupants were looking through the remains of the fire. This was turned over to a Deputy Fire Marshall who was investigating the fire.
Contradictory to this story, one source tells OE that the owner of the farm had been on the property that day and one of the occupants and his nephew who was visiting from New York at the time, had told a story about how they had removed the license plate from the owners truck and made it look like he had been the one to start the fire. They did this because the owner had given them notice of eviction. Purely for informational purposes, the owner of the farm did not have insurance on the old chicken houses.
In the early hours of September 22nd, someone invaded the neighboring home while they were sleeping and stole a laptop, cell phone, and wallet. Sources tell OE that the neighbors have no doubt that it was one of the occupants of the farm house. Amazingly, one of the occupants of the farm house taunted the neighbors afterwards telling them that he had done it. He was brazen enough to admit in court to the Judge that yes he had told the neighbors that he did it.
The occupants came up with the rent money and were not evicted. Speculation about where the money came from to pay the rent ran rampant because none of the occupants worked a job. The big question was, where did the money come from to pay the rent?
By early October, the neighbors were in fear of the occupants of the farm house. Several incidents had occurred whereby the police had to be called to remove the occupants from their property. Sources tell OE that every time that the neighbors had company or tried to sit outside in their backyard, the occupants of the farm house would come on their property and start trouble. At one point, one of the farm house occupants was arrested and spent the night in jail. Sources tell OE that particular incident started the threats from the farm house occupants of hurting or killing the neighbors. One of the farm house occupants was carrying a lead pipe and trying to hit people with it. By this time, Justin Hadel was living at the farm house.
The terror of huge “bon fires” began. Sources tell OE that at all hours of the night 30 to 40 foot flames would suddenly shoot up into the air in the area surrounding the farm house. Eyewitnesses tell OE that it appeared as if the whole place was going to go up in flames. OE is told that on some occasions during these huge “bon fires” the occupants of the farm house could be seen dancing around the fire and throwing something into it that exploded.
The second fire began around midnight in early October. The other end of the old chicken house that had not burnt down in the first fire burst into flames. Security guards who had been hired to protect the neighbors called 911. Eyewitnesses watched as a small glow began in the building and then burst into flames. By the time that fire crews arrived, which was in minutes after the 911 call, the remainder of the building was burning out of control.
This time, Fire Marshall McMahon arrived to investigate. The occupants of the farm house told the story of seeing the neighbors on the back part of their property and that they started the fire. When the Fire Marshall questioned the neighbors, it was learned that the security guards were on the back part of the property patrolling not the neighbors. It was learned that while patrolling, the occupants of the farm house were observed sitting in a car drinking beer and then taking off and tearing up the soybean field surrounding the old chicken house.
Again, many questions and speculations ran rampant. One source tells OE that the occupants of the farm house were heard arguing and one of the occupants was hollering at the other saying “I know that you did this”.
The Fire Marshall laid down the law to everyone and said that if he saw so much as a spark, he would take it as someone trying to burn something down. Sources tell OE that any little flame was to be reported. During this time, a burn ban was in effect because the weather had been dry and vegetation was very dry. The entire area was like tinder waiting to burn.
Following this fire, the occupants of the farm house continually started the 30 to 40 foot “bon fires” at all hours of the night. Sources tell OE that there would be total darkness and then all of a sudden flames would leap into the air. As directed, the security guards or the neighbors called 911.
After a few times of doing this, one particular incident had a Worcester County Deputy and a Deputy Fire Marshall waking the neighbors up a 3:00 A.M. to talk to them. Sources tell OE that Deputy Sheriff Purnell and a Deputy Fire Marshall who wouldn’t identify his self told the neighbors that if they called in another fire they would be issued a citation. The neighbors explained what Fire Marshall McMahon had directed them to do and were told that the occupants of the farm house could now do whatever they wanted. Eyewitnesses tell OE that this “talk” got very loud and threatening. The neighbors ended it by telling the LE men that the whole place could burn down and they wouldn’t pick up the telephone. They then sent the LE men on their way.
This incident has had many accusing the VFD of threatening the neighbors. Clearly, the VFD had nothing to do with it. The neighbors say that if they had wanted to do something about it, they would and that they “surely would not ask Nictitate to stick her nose into it”. After seeing a recent email where Nictitate is questioning about the threats made to them if they called the fire department, they are angry that it continually appears to be a sticking point with Nictitate and that all kinds of wild accusations are being made. They feel that it’s no one’s business unless they say it is and have talked to OE and PPE only because the entire story has been misconstrued and they want the record set straight. They are also angry that Nictitate has taken pictures without permission that belong to them and is using them for personal gain. They have requested in the past and are requesting again that the pictures be removed from Nictitates website.
OE has obtained an actual picture of the second chicken house fire. Unlike Nictitate, OE was given the picture with permission to use it.
This is an actual Byrd Rd fire, not a controlled burn fire from the Showell VFD site.
The last fire reported at the farm was the infamous house fire. The neighbors were sleeping and the security guards on duty sat and watched but did not pick up the phone as they had been directed not to. This time, the occupants had to call in the fire their selves.
As the story goes, the occupants were utilizing an old wood stove in the farm house to provide heat. Sources tell OE that they had grabbed up or chopped up any piece of wood that they could find. In spite of being told not to use the woodstove, they did. Somehow, the house caught on fire and again, fire crews had to put out another fire on the Byrd Road Farm in the early morning hours.
Christine was living at the farm house at this time. As a matter of fact, this fire occurred 2 days prior to when she went missing. Questions remain as to why she stayed after the fire because the farm house was not habitable. The VFD had cut a hole in the roof to put out the fire and everything had to have been soaked from where the fire fighters used water to put the fire out. We know that there was no hot water or heat. It’s inconceivable that anyone would inhabit a house under these conditions especially with two small children. OE’s question for Nictitate is – Did Christine go somewhere else to stay after the house fire?
After the farm house fire, the “bon fires” continued. They were never reported. In November, the occupants of the farm house were evicted and this time they moved away.
Amazingly, since November of 2007, the VFD has not had to rush to Byrd Road. Clearly, something was going on however it has been explained to OE that suppositions are not enough evidence to put an arsonist behind bars. Unless an arsonist is witnessed in the actual act of starting a fire a conviction is rare. Don’t criticize the VFD’s or the Fire Marshall for this. Go to your Sate Capitol and get the laws changed.
There appears to be a clear pattern and we have learned that one of the former occupants of the Byrd Road Farm has now been arrested in Tennessee for repeating the same pattern. Eviction equals set it on fire.
Coming soon: Chapter 6 – We have a blog that has decided to try and discredit the PPE. Christine’s family has taken up residence on this blog and PPE is being accused of fabricating the stories about what happened on Byrd Road and of putting the efforts of LE down (they better go back and read Chapter 3 and 4). OE deems it time for a good ole slap down. We will continue to have information provided by eyewitness accounts and sources that have been close to Christine’s case from the beginning. It’s time!

Odor on Nictitate (Chapter 6)
Odor on Nictitate
By Odor Eliminator
Chapter 6 - Three Card Monte
OE has been very quiet since the release of Chapter 5. Now I know that some of you thought that I had gone away for good. Sorry to disappoint you, I’m still here.
OE has let the groupies run roughshod over the blogs and chats. It was OE’s intention to sit back and see where things went. Wow, things have the appearance of animals in a zoo going berserk from being in their cages too long. Who or what rattled their cage?
We left off writing about what happened during the spree of fires on Byrd Road. For whatever reasons, it sent the groupies into an attacking frenzy. Providing the truth for readers from solid sources and eyewitness accounts along with a picture of an actual Byrd Road fire has the pesky little spiders spinning webs of deception.
Along came a spider called Nictitate spinning tales of greatness. From her nest hang pesky little groupies who spin their own tales
The reaction from the groupies after the release of Chapter 5 was to attack. Obviously, when OE wrote it, people who witnessed the terror spree had talked to OE. No big secret! What OE wonders is “why” attack people for telling the truth?
PPE had “anonymous” groupie bloggers who said that some peoples “hands” were all over an attack to trash Christine’s family. Nowhere has it ever been stated that anyone wants to or is attacking Christine’s family. If the truth hurts……..
On another blog a post was made by a self proclaimed fire fighter from Delaware who was suggesting that people were burning down their chicken houses because of no longer having a contract. What? An FYI for the blogging fire fighter – the neighbors tell OE that they did not stop raising chickens until July of 2008 and their chicken houses are still standing. Hello, the burning spree occurred from September – November 2007.
Tales of Clarence Jackson aka JR, have spilled forth from Nictitates nest. It was clear from a newspaper article that JR was arrested in Tennessee. The tales now say that he was charged with attempted murder. Other sources tell OE that JR has been recently spotted in Pocomoke. We all know that his love Tia has returned to Pocomoke and is back working at Walmart. Maybe we should invent a game – Where in the World Is JR? Carmen Sandiego doesn’t have anything on him!
A very strange posting appeared on a local blog from the Great One herself. One could say that it was the mindless babbling of someone who had a few too many and one would have to be in the same state of mind and on the same planet to understand it’s cryptic message. OE supposes it was another ploy at being “oh so mysterious”. If anything the free entertainment was worth the read.
A recent “conversation” on a chat roll repeats a story about Nik, a “good friend” of the Burke family, who befriended someone that told him a story about what happened to Christine. Old news folks. This same story was going around back in March. Sources tell OE that to further add to the plot of Nictitates tale the person whom this character Nik befriended has a relative who supposedly gave the same information to Lynn. As the tale goes, the relative then took back the story.
So many stories! We don’t need to worry though. If LE was given this information, as the tale goes, they were able to sort through it and throw out the BS.
The character Nik now has the Great One to thank for putting a big red X on his back. How stupid can anyone be? Is it any wonder that people do not want to talk to her? Someone gave the Nik story to the Great One and it can be deduced that is was one of two sources. This is another example of Nictitates tale being more important than information that does not need to be plastered all over the internet.
A recent Boss Hog post on PPE accused and blamed PE for derailing the involvement by 3 View Search Services in Christine’s case. This appeared to be more senseless babbling by someone who had a few too many. Thankfully it wasn’t an “oh so mysterious” post. No sir, he got right to the point.
The real story behind 3 View not coming to Pocomoke is that LE has not invited them to come. We have to remember that the Great One promised she could get 3 View to do a search. It’s clear that she didn’t and can’t deliver what she promises. Question is – why does Boss Hog have a need to cover this up by blaming PE?
Most entertaining of all is a conversation between the Great One and Christine. It starts out oh so sweet and then spews forth evil calling others haters and riff raff. The Great One claims to have “felt” Christine’s presence at the farm. A prayer to Saint Anthony follows and it’s expected by the Great One that Saint Anthony will “obtain” for her the whereabouts of Christine from the Lord. She even says “pretty please”. What? Sorry folks OE is speechless!
It’s like playing 3 Card Monte. Mix it up and distract people from focusing. Nictitates tale has become very boring and full of old news. The book sure won’t make the New York Times Best Seller list. Fame and fortune does not await Nictitate or the groupies.
November 13th has come and gone and now Christine Sheddy has been missing for over 2 years, her whereabouts unknown. Her family brought in the Great One who was going to solve the mystery of her disappearance in a flash. It’s obvious that the promises are empty and the Great One can’t deliver however the groupies cling to the nest.
Now that the divisionary, not the visionary, has played out her game how has it left everyone?
OE realizes that Chapter 6 is different than the rest of the chapters of Nictitates tale. I suppose that it’s influenced by Thanksgiving being upon us. When thinking about Christine’s disappearance and the evil horrid mess made by Nictitate and the groupies involvement, OE does not find anything from it to be thankful for.

Odor on Nictitate (chapter 4)
By Odor Eliminator
Chapter 4: The Search is on to find Christine!
We left off last week with chronicled efforts by LE to find Christine Sheddy. Hopefully many answers were found by readers after sifting through Nictitates tale to find truth.
OE would like for everyone to understand that my tale is not about anyone other than Christine and events that are relevant to her. My mention of Mike McDermott is not about helping him run for a higher political office. Mr. McDermott has to find his own way through Nictitates and other’s tales, look within his self, and find a way to right any wrongs. OE does not do politics. Period! As one of my favorite bloggers says – “Nuff Said”!
………. Along came a spider called Nictitate spinning a tale of everything imaginable except for getting down to the business of finding Christine. Nictitate has been on “location” at the farm on Byrd Road where Christine Sheddy was last seen and produced a video showing something. Who knows what its relevance is to the subject. What we don’t see is Nictitates chronicled efforts in searching for Christine.
Are Nictitate and the spawn from the nest even bothering to search? As you will read, others have done that and Nictitates tale has been spun from those efforts.
Many of the searches to find Christine have revolved around one of Nictitates colleague known as “Man with a stick” or other AKA’s such as Lucas Caine, Lukester, and some unmentionable’s. In reality he is Luke Phillips’s. One local blog ran a post about who Luke is and OE knows that the question was a “fake” because the person asking had met Luke at one of the searches. Go figure!
Luke has been involved in many searches for Christine. Sources tell OE that they are not sure where Luke came from or how he got involved. It’s believed that he made contact with Christine’s family and offered his services. Some say that his service’s start with an internet search of missing persons and he makes contact with the family and tells them about his many talents of psychic nature. More often than not Luke goes after the really big cases of missing persons and offers the help from the international seer society.
Speaking about talents of psychic nature, we have to back up because psychics were on the case long before Luke. Almost, from the very beginning of Christine’s case.
Christine’s family contacted Suzanne and Jean Vincent psychics from Pittsburg, PA. Known as The Psychic Vincent Sisters, their website lays claim to their abilities as mediums in clairvoyance, medical intuitive, precognitive, aura, and remote viewing. While sources tell us that Christine’s mother calls them “My Ladies”, OE will call them “The Sisters”.
The Sister’s have been heavily involved in utilizing their self proclaimed abilities to find Christine and many searches of the Byrd Road property were guided or misguided by what they saw in their visions. Eyewitnesses tell OE that Lynn, Christine’s mother would walk around with a cell phone to her ear while following the guidance of the Sister’s. Some observers of this “show” left at the end of the day knowing that they had wasted valuable time and efforts.
The area surrounding the Byrd Road farm is heavily wooded and in some places swampy. Searching is a tedious task and some who have participated in the searches tell OE that there is so much area to cover and it’s slow going when making their way through all of the obstacles presented by the terrain.
We know that LE conducted searches early on including an all out search in late December 2007 which included the assistance of Flatland Search and Rescue. I don’t know if any of you avid readers have been present at one of these types of searches however, eyewitnesses to this particular search tell OE that “you might think that the military had set up camp” in reference to the observation of Flatlands method of operations. OE is told that Flatland leaves no blade of grass un-trampled, conduct searches in a highly organized way, and remain professional at all times.
Flatland did get into a sticky situation when they entered onto the property of one of the residents of Byrd Road. Lawsuits were threatened for violating poultry bio-security procedures however the situation was defused in an apologetic professional manner. Sources tell OE that Flatland did not realize that they didn’t have permission to be on the property and they had no intention of offending anyone.
In January of 2008 private searches were conducted in areas surrounding the Byrd Road farm. Sources tell OE that residents in the immediate area assisted Christine’s mother on day long walks looking in every nook and cranny for anything. The psychic Sisters had given information to Lynn about clues to look for while searching. These clues lead the direction of the searches and sources tell OE that they turned out to be “wild goose chases”.
February, 2008 – taken from the journal of an observer – “The police searched again today for Christine. Her mother and friends were there. Cadaver dogs were searching the property and the State Police helicopter landed and picked up a WCBI detective. The helicopter flew low over the wooded parts of the area searching”. This indeed was a costly but effective search. What was found is unknown because the detectives are not going to reveal anything, not even to the family. Does this look like LE was doing nothing?
I mentioned in the last chapter that some within LE were willing to be “open minded” about the seer society. One particular incident that was told to OE is that the family was insistent about some type of psychic writings that were happening to Jenifer, Christine’s sister. A WCBI detective conceded to their demands and followed directions given from Jenifer’s psychic visits from Christine.
It’s unclear to OE whether the family believes that Jenifer has psychic abilities. What is clear to OE is that the detective, upon the say so of the family, accommodated their demand that these writings be followed. Sources have told OE that the detective was directed to travel the country side looking in many different places that supposedly Christine was telling Jenifer where she could be found. Obviously, nothing came from the detectives meanderings because we are still looking for Christine.
OE can just imagine a picture in the mind of a detective driving from place to place because the family is saying that Christine is telling them where she is. That is material for a movie. We don’t know what became of these writings and sources say that they don’t know if Jenifer has had any more visits from Christine. Maybe after reading this chapter of my tale, Jenifer will enlighten us about this.
The neighbors have conceded to OE that they are aware of the psychic input and that they were questioned by LE about one of them having seen an apparition of Christine in one of the fields on the Byrd Road farm. One of the neighbors says that “if I had seen something like that, I would have run like hell”. Apparently, someone called LE and told them this story and as usual procedure, LE had to follow up on it. They refuse to comment about their thoughts on the psychic nature of the searches for Christine.
Following the police and cadaver dog search, another search was arranged privately utilizing the same cadaver dogs. Man with a stick, Luke, was the lead in this search and has posted that he personally paid for the use of the cadaver dogs in both the police search and this private search.
Some of us know that Luke got the name “Man with a stick” because of his use of a dowsing rod some call it a diving rod which was used to guide in the right direction to find Christine. It’s a common tool used by those who say they have psychic abilities.
Luke has participated in many of the searches for Christine and in all fairness OE is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that his heart is in the right place. OE will not give an opinion about his methods that is for you to decide. What OE will do is now tell you how Luke conducts his psychic methods of searching. OE’s information about his methods has come from many sources who have witnessed Luke at his best.
One particular “private” search for Christine had searchers meandering all over the Byrd Road farm and surrounding area. Sources tell OE that Luke was leading the pack utilizing the rod to determine the direction in which to go. One source says that they became so “frustrated” following the rod that they went off on their own to search. “He kept twirling this rod and then letting it stop and point to the direction go” the source said. After going back and forth over the same area and finding absolutely nothing, OE is told that people were just ready to walk away, and some did.
According to sources, Luke was also using direction given over a cell phone by another psychic, not the Sisters, and this psychic was supposedly someone who was in on solving some big case. The direction given by the “cell phone psychic” and the direction indicated by Luke’s rod were in conflict and a super natural dilemma was conjured up about which “seeing” was correct.
Vague directions were given by the “cell phone psychic” and in following those directions observers tell OE that it was valuable time wasted. Based from this opinion, it is obvious that people have accommodated Christine’s family in ways that many can’t even imagine. Main stream America would not spend entire days following the directions of the international seer society.
After this search, the cell phone psychic was kicked to the curb. The Sister’s are now the primary seers in search of Christine. Luke is still the “on location” seer and is guiding another private search. One source tells OE that on this search, a lead detective in Christine’s case at the time participated and it was his day off.
The search starts off in an orderly way. Areas are covered by sections and searchers are methodically covering ground. All of a sudden this orderly search turns into a leading of the blind. Luke has arrived and Lynn has been on the cell phone with the Sister’s. Everyone starts wandering aimlessly following the directions of the seer society. One observer tells OE that certain “markers” were described by the seers and if you don’t see any of the “markers” don’t waste time looking.
Mr. LE who was present for this search unknowingly bore the burden of blame for not finding anything. Sources tell OE that criticism of Mr. LE was heavy and not very nice. Mr. LE was not following the program and he was going off into places that were too flooded or muddy with his four wheeler, too look. One place that Mr. LE looked induced him to question whether someone had been in a particular area recently because he had found something that wasn’t there on previous searches. Although it turned out to be nothing of significance, OE can surmise that at least he found something! Mr. LE was sent packing and the remainder of the day was conducted under the guidance of Luke and the Sister’s by cell phone.
We are now into yet another search. This time we have participants from several LE agencies including a Department of Resource Police and her dog. As the story goes, there were certain areas or particular locations that Christine’s family felt had not been searched properly. LE accommodated the family and looked in every place that was indicated. OE is told that this search was put together by many LE agencies and some were providing their own time. Translation – day off from work.
There is a pond on the property of the Byrd Road farm. Although the cadaver dogs that had been used in two previous searches had been directed to sniff out the pond, it remained a sore thumb in the search for Christine. The family was not satisfied with the abilities of the dogs and wanted the pond searched.
A state dive team made up of many LE participants volunteered their own time to travel to Pocomoke to search the pond. WCBI Detectives on Christine’s case were on hand as well. The divers searched every square inch of the pond by hand. OE is told by eye witnesses that the pond is very murky and visibility is poor. The divers had to submerge their selves and utilize their hands on the bottom of the pond to search. One eye witness described the search as a sight worth seeing and says that they were “fascinated” at the capabilities of the dive team.
All of these searches were done prior to the “big” search in March of 2009. Some have questioned about how this search came to existence. OE has the answers for you.
The Big March Search was conjured up out of all of the derogatory and negative opinions about LE not doing its job. One of the local blogs had repeated comments trashing LE and of course there was the conspiracy theory of Mike McDermott directing many LE agencies and public service organizations to not find Christine. Leading organizers of this search were Stephanie Burke and Lynn, Christine’s mother.
LE gave their blessing for a public search. They were not able to be part of the search due to legalities. If they were present, all responsibility would fall on our LE agencies, which means the taxpayers.
What an event. By sunup, Flatland Search and Rescue was setting up their operations base from which they would conduct a detailed systematic search. Once again, Flatland volunteered their time and resources.
Candidate Burke and the few family members who participated arrived much later that morning. People were already on hand and time was wasted to get everyone lined up to check in. What’s that I hear? Eye witnesses say that a waiver had to be signed by everyone who was participating in the search which released property owners of responsibility should any accidents or injuries occur. Legalities like the one mentioned about LE’s participation.
Participants were many and Walmart sent managers from eastern shore stores to help search. There were many others and if you want to read a list of them, you will have to read it on Candidate Burkes local blog. Walmart also donated refreshments for the searchers.
Teams were selected. Each team had a person from Flatland as the leader and going by the grids that had been set up they set off to search their given area. GPS was used to record positions of teams while searching and radioed back to the base. Flatland would then record on their computer where people were and where they would be going next. Fifteen square miles were covered that day. Some search parties did not give up until after dark.
Eye witnesses say that they never did see Candidate Burke out in any of the search parties. One post from a blogger has suggested that Candidate Burke was using the event to campaign for her upcoming election. Apparently, she requisitioned the refreshment center as her pulpit to campaign from.
Luke was on hand for this search as well but he didn’t go out with the search teams. Following the guidance of the Sister’s Luke was busy running a pump to remove water out of a hole that is on the farm property. This hole was of particular interest by Christine’s family and Luke because the Sister’s visions placed Christine there. After an entire day, Luke came up empty handed.
The Big March search was an out pouring of community helping to find Christine. Her story is heart wrenching and the good hearted people of Pocomoke and surrounding areas needed and wanted to do something to help. What was not known by the many volunteers is that there had been a skull recovered from Assateague that had been sent off for identification. It’s believed by many that it will be Christine.
Remember the private search that Mr. LE participated in and was dismissed because he didn’t follow the psychic program? At that time, it was known by Luke and Lynn that a skull had been found. Mr. LE was also aware of the evidence found and he still accommodated Lynn’s demand for yet another search. Could this be another reason that LE didn’t participate in the Big search?
Other behind the scene action included post’s made to a local blog by a person claiming to be Clarence Jackson. These post were of a somewhat threatening nature, specifically mentioned the upcoming Big search, and even said that nothing would be found. The local blog owner withheld these posts until after the search. Only Candidate Burke can answer the why of withholding these posts but many bloggers have speculated that she did not want the event (the Big Search) ruined.
So bloggers, speculate away. Why did candidate Burke withhold the post to her blog from the person claiming to be Clarence Jackson? Nictitates tale mentions no information related to this and it’s wondered by OE why her tale has not included this information. After all, aren’t we supposed to be solving a mystery created by Nictitate and the groupies?
I know that you all are going to have trouble understanding this next one. After the Big search and in light of probable evidence of the skull, Lynn insisted on another search. I know, folks, you are all scratching your heads right about now.
This last search to be conducted saw volunteers from Flatland Search and Rescue once again arriving at the crack of dawn. Certain spots had been privately pre-determined by the Sister’s, Lynn, and Luke. Flatland brought in a person with heavy equipment to dig with and a methodical sifting of the remains of the burnt down chicken house on the farm was done. Volunteers painstakingly sifted through the ashes and ruins.
Again, Luke was of doing his thing. He used ground penetrating sonar on a few specific locations and nothing was found. The hole was again visited by him.
Sources tell OE that as the day wore on, volunteers were becoming very disheartened. Lynn decided to share some information that the Sister’s had given her and everyone agreed, okay let’s check it out. By this time people were wandering individually all over the place without any specific destination.
Lynn was on the cell phone again with the Sister’s and began running around frantically trying to follow whatever it was that the Sister’s were seeing in a vision. An eye witness tells OE that it was “real smooth and much too convenient”. Upon the guidance of the Sister’s, Lynn found something that belonged to Christine. OE will not divulge what exactly was found because it is in the hands of LE.
Sources tell OE that the place where these things were found had been searched several times and question how it could have been missed especially by highly trained cadaver dogs. They also say that too many people had access to the place where the things were found and wonder just exactly how these things got there to be found.
OE surmises that at least ten searches were conducted and every time, Christine’s family was not satisfied. Sources tell OE that they have never seen Christine’s sister Jenifer make an appearance although she has been highly critical of everyone’s efforts. OE is mystified as to why Christine’s family kept insisting on searches of the Byrd Road farm when they knew that LE had found a skull on Assateague which is presumed to be Christine’s.
It appears to OE that Christine’s family has put blind faith into the international seer society. OE questions the wisdom of this because just suppose something was overlooked by a searcher because no “markers” were present where they were looking and every nook and cranny wasn’t searched.
According to OE’s way of thinking, none of this makes any sense. To criticize every step of LE and off handedly dismiss their efforts as doing nothing is ludicrous. To blindly follow the Sister’s who by the way have never made an appearance is something from another world. To rely on a Man with a stick to guide you to Christine – OE does not have a word to fit this scenario. And if all of that isn’t enough, enter Nictitate and the groupies.
Nictitate appears to be fixated on the Byrd Road farm as are the Sister’s, Luke, and Christine’s family. Is there something that they know that the rest of us don’t?
This chapter turned out to be rather long. OE had so much information and found that to cut out any of it would be a great disservice to the many fine people who have volunteered their time and efforts to help find Christine. Where we go from here is anyone’s guess but more than likely we will have a new chapter from Nictitates tale to read as she finds clues from what OE has written.
Coming soon….. Odor on Nictitate, Chapter 5 – OE is not quite sure which subject to follow next. It will be a surprise!
