Mickey Mouse Turns 80 Today

Today is the official Mickey Mouse birthday.

On November 18th 1928, First film Steam Boat Willie was showcased in a colony theater in New York City. It was a great hit and thus the date was officially declared to be Mickey Mouse birthday.
~HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY MICKEY MOUSE!!!~

"I hope that we never lose sight of one thing: that it was all started by a Mouse.” - Walt Disney.

Oh...My...God! Am I getting old, or what? I didn't see Steamboat Willie, but I sure remember Mickey Mouse Club and Cubbie and Moochie and especially Annette. I never watched in my pajamas or underwear; always got fully dressed because I just knew they could see me through the television screen.

Well, I'm not anywhere near 80 but I can remember those things too!

But what is even funnier is that my sister and I always thought Miss Nancy's mirror or Romper Room worked! And since my name is an odd name Miss Nancy never called it. My Mother always told us that if we didn't hear our names it was because we were "extra good". Hmmm...... the things you can remember if you just think back long enough..............
